Nice game. Your variant did not come into play in this particular game at all since all you need to win is iron and preatorians for conquest. It would be different if you would have gone for a culture victory wink

I think you'll find that no chopping is QUITE a significant handicap in a praet rush.

I like it! Great game and to the point. thumbsup I, too, was thinking to beeline Iron Workings; however I’m still experimenting with Civ4. I guess my approach was overly complicated compared to yours; but why I enjoy reading these reports. Enjoyed your personal variants!
