BTS Patch 3.03 was released. I'm not quite sure why, it doesn't seem to be necessary. Make sure you don't patch until you've finished Potluck.

My civ is working fine so I probably wont be patching until the next "real" patch comes out. Unless ofcourse RB events require 3.03.

Ugh. Here comes another patch to play havoc with our events. I've looked at the change log, and this patch doesn't seem to do ANYTHING gameplay related. But now we're going to have a devil of a time making sure everyone is on the same version for the next couple weeks. Just peachy.
 Can anyone confirm that 3.03 has absolutely zero effects on gameplay? If so, we can probably allow everyone to go ahead and patch, even with Epic Thirteen open. That's an unprecedented step for us, but we've never seen a patch released that made no changes at all to the gameplay. For the moment, do nothing until we get more word one way or the other.

Not only does each and every one of these wreck havoc with MP games, but there are major, documented, game affecting bugs with the released product. Releasing another patch that does nothing to fix things that playtesters confirm are 100% broken in a bigger  move than...well anything.

Alright, I've received independent confirmation (aside from what sooooo posted) that this patch does nothing other than add a DirectX update. Since this has no effect on gameplay whatsoever, everyone can feel free to patch to 3.03 (or not patch) as they see fit. It won't have any effect on Epic Thirteen, or the other games that will be opening soon. I would actually encourage everyone to go ahead and patch, just to preserve compatibility with Multiplayer and possible Succession Game activity.
I'm going to send off an email to Gris so that we can put an annoucement somewhere on the RBCiv main page. Basically, since 3.02 and 3.03 are identical for our purposes, you can use either one.
