Hey everyone,
Random idea for an Alliance "event" - actually, more of a marathon. One of the new things introduced with EotN is the Black Moa Chick miniature that you can hatch. The little guy is beyond adorable, and I think it would be most excellent if we could invade a town and deploy a whole flock of moa chicks to the astonishment of the PuG populace! 
The issue with the Black Moa Chick is that it requires a pretty extensive series of steps, across all three campaigns, in order to assemble the materials and hatch it. Full details can be found here.
Maybe I'm the only one in the Alliance  , but I haven't been everywhere that's required with all my characters. In fact, I disliked Factions so much that I haven't been to either of the necessary places with any character! 
How about we make it a long-term (sort of) event to assemble all the components for anyone that wants to join in? Some of the things are easier to assemble than others, but we could make the tedium of farming more fun by doing it together. And we could get together to run to the necessary locations. I would suggest doing one "component" for two weekend sessions, then moving on to the next. That way, if someone is gone for one particular weekend, they won't miss out completely.
Any takers?

Here's another thought for us allies to ge together perhaps more regularly. All of us have many characters. For the most part I think everyone is getting 1 or 2 of their primaries through GWEN at this moment. So I was thinking maybe some of us could get together on a regular basis and each take one of our other characters who hasn't started GWEN or just started and is around the Hall of Monuments through the game.
Basically we'd just meet up at a scheduled time each week with the same characters we started with and tackle the primary quests. If we all agree we can also do other quests and dungeons as well. Solo stuff has to be done on your own time as well as vanguard, deldrimor, asura, and norn point farming. If anyone ever misses a meeting, it shouldn't be too hard to catch up by the next week.
I don't want to make this into one of RB's variants. I just want a way for people to get together. Other than an RB variant, I have never gone through an entire campaign without hero/henching a major portion of it. To me that partially defeats the purpose of having a guild, an alliance, a chat for each and the ability to party with real people.

Sounds like a great idea, Seijin - I have a couple of characters who'd fit the bill nicely, not having even ventured into GWEN yet. Plus I need an excuse to dust off my warrior and play her more. Where would you like us to meet? Lion's Arch/Kamadan/Kaineng, or at Boreal Station?
What evening would be good? For me, the best nights would be Saturday, Wednesday, or Tuesday (in that order).

Well my schedule is gonna change because of school. But I'm not exactly sure how much it will change during the week. So for right now Saturday nights are probably best for me of those 3. And we can determine where to meet once we have enough people interested. Right now I'm basically taking my warrior through GWEN. My monk, ranger, paragon, and rit are at Boreal, everyone else hasn't crossed over yet. I want to see what the quests are like from LA and Kamadan because I keep leaving from Kaineng.

For starters, how about voting when a poll goes up? There really is no good reasons not to vote when there is an Abstain option.

Eh? I didn't get which previous statement this in response to, unless you're saying "Voting in a poll is a good place to get started with Alliance Activities."
I assume you mean the LIFE poll? Sorry, I'd missed it, and I wasn't looking out for it as I was under the mistaken impression we'd only vote if objections got raised. But maybe I missed those, too. 
Easily remedied, though...
And on (other) topic, I'll gladly get involved in random GWEN gaming and also the baby black moa quest. If I understand correctly, though, we need to get the notebook before we can complete any of the other steps. Right? Guess I had better work my way in that direction first.

I don't get the reference either, KoP! Sure you posted in the right thread?
On the Moa front, I spent a bit of time in the Norn Fighting Tournament the last time I was online, and my second time through (no, still haven't managed to beat Magni the Bison) I encountered Zho, and got my journal. You don't have to have the journal with you to collect the other things, I believe - at least not the collector items, or the Moa eggs. I've got several eggs in my inventory (they do stack), and now need to start collecting the other stuff. Not looking forward to running to the Factions locations...urk.
