Whoever came up with the idea of creating an immense sprawling level (or is that just my bad luck), with components which you can only carry one at a time, each one as far as possible from the beginning and each other.
"Oh, and how about we make it so the parts slow the character down to a crawl, so he gets to spend at least 15 minutes walking from one end of the dungeon to the other with absolutely no monsters to kill?"
I thought that sneaky use of the portal might save me the effort - create a returnable portal at the techsmith, then use a one-way portal to get to the returnable portal, but that bugged out - the techsmith didn't acknowledge the part, despite it clogging up my inventory.

P.S. For what it's worth, the returnable portal trick works great for the Broker, who can be a pain to keep running to...
