Gameplay video up.
Not even an estimated release date yet, and when you enter your birthday to play the gameplay video, the year "2008" is an option. The lowest game rating available is "EC" which requires you to be at least 3 years old, so someone at Blizzard is apparently estimating 2011 at the earliest

ps--or 2021 if it gets a "T" rating...

in like 1 1/2 years i'd guess I bet there are tons of work left to do.
The teaser and game demo are really worth looking and the few things we are allowed to see look really nice. Upgrades and improvements to the well known interface while keeping the classic view fits me.
Only two out of five charakter classes are known yet: our familiar Barbarian and the new Witch Doctor who seems to be a Necromancer/Druid mix. Nice side-kick: it seems like all classes will be there in both male and female versions.

PS about game rating: the german version of the Blizzard Diablo 3 website still awaits official permission(!) to go online .. go figure!

Well that just made my day. I've been terrified for the last five years that Blizzard would screw it up when they made D3. Fortunately, that gameplay video really LOOKS like a Diablo game: third person, fast-paced combat, random boss fights (could anyone make out the boss abilities?), even the treasure drops were familiar - I caught a bunch of "Scroll of Identify"s in there.
This is instantly my most-wanted game, when it releases in.... 2009? Hell, we're still playing Diablo 2 eight years after release!

2009? You people know Blizzard right? 2012 would be optomistic.

*I'm* still going with 2021.
Teen rating, 2008 birthdate--works for me.
I think I'll be dead by then...

--Cy A Diablo game with a Teen rating?
Bahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha...
Seriously, it would be pretty funny if that happened.

Diablo 3... Wah-wah, that means halt of the beauty days of Diablo 2. I didn't even manage to play it game PROPERLY. (Properly as in Hannibal Smith would say: "When I was a kid, I enjoyed more waiting for presents than opening them on the Christmas Eve. But when the next day I ripped the presents, I RIPPED them.").
And teen rating is probably BS anyway. Every now and then, I meet stupid children on BN, having 8-12 years old (I myself am 14, but on a spotlight I must say I have grown mentally quite fast). They are running with some super-rich heroes, full of artifacts, everything perfect, and a super-hero... And the guy is bought on eBay or allegro.pl. So what do we get? An idiot who pays a lot of money for a good character just because his childhood friend had a good character.... Kids on BN are annoying... although I managed to rip-off a certain 8 year old from a nice unique for a handful of shiny El, Eld and Tir runes, several chipped gems...

Plenty of time left to play D1/D2/LoD.

You were too young to see what BNet looked like in Diablo 2's heyday then... Imagine everything you just typed above, only with 100 times as many players involved. It was, err, quite an experience.
Let me put it this way: when I say I'm anticipating D3, I mean it in the sense of gaming with friends from Realms Beyond or other similar communities (e.g. the Lurker Lounge). I don't intend to touch the teeming, unwashed masses of the public BNet channels with a ten foot pole. (Yeah, I know that sounds horribly elitist. But every longtime RBDer knows exactly what I'm talking about. )
