Here I was thinking that my afternoon spent throwing together a site design for an old game could be completely forgotten about.
The site may not be pretty, but it does work. You can find out more about the game here.

Game complete, report written. There are some advantages to being the Sponsor, eh?
More seriously, it's great to see some old and new faces popping up in this forum again. For our veterans, this game will definitely be on the easy side; think of it as a "Gentle Adventure", while we get everyone up to speed. From my own playthrough, I think there will still be enough going on to hold your interest. It's a bit of an unusual map, that's all I'll say.
You may also be wondering why this game is Imperium Ten, when there's no Imperium Nine... Well, there was never an Imperium Six either, and I wanted to start on a nice round number. Perhaps eventually we'll go back and fill in those missing gaps. We got around to Epic Fifteen after a lengthy delay, after all!
This message also deserves to be stickied, so I'm doing that now.
EDIT: Or, rather I would, but I don't have Moderator powers in this forum. Whoops. Gris, perhaps we should change that?

Hey guys, I think I will take a shot at this. I am definitely not a good MoO player and I have trouble in knowing which designs and whatnot is good and what is not. But I think that comparing my future result to yours, I will improve.

Sullla's evilness shows up once again, now trying to rule with the iron fist of an moderator! We knew of his villainy since he was going to call his city "Sulllavillle". It's not because of too many L's. It's because that after we jumble the words together, we will have: Sullla Evil!

Nah. Because I won't type so many L's. And it has a nice ring to it, I mean, if Sullla was meant to be a villain in some James Bond spinoff, he would certainly make some sort of a looong speech:
"Beholllld! This is my villlllainous performance, pollllished through many years of carefullllll plllllaning. Right now, you are subjects of my machiavelllllistic pllllans. Prepare for fullllll outcome of evillllllness!..."
...and halfway through this speech, the hero would be able to kill the Arch-Villlllllain Sullla four times.

Now waiting for 4 weeks to report. Yeah, that can be a problem. Master of Orion games can be played pretty quickly, and then you have a whole month to wait until the next Imperium opens. However, run the games too quickly, and the community starts to get divided between events - not exactly a good thing with an ancient game like this one! We're never going to draw too much participation here.
All told, I like the idea of having a monthly game. It gives everyone plenty of time to play and report; put another way, I can probably find time to participate in a monthly game. I'm not sure I could do it with games every 3 weeks. The more frequent the events, the more work it places on me as well (coming up with ideas, playtesting the maps, compiling the results after completion, etc.) In any case, we'll start out with the four-week duration and see how it goes. If the community is eager for more games, we can always speed up the pace with later events. Feedback is a major part of the Imperia, just like with the Epics/Adventures.

You could start a monthly challenge half way through the month, maybe not a full game, but challenging people to fulfill a set condition by a certain number of turns, perhaps starting mid-way in a game.
