Is there enough interest for pbem13 ... #11 and #12 got filled pretty quickly and I am interested in another ... so ... anyone else?

I might be interested, depending on the settings/scenario.

I will be unavailable for about a week right around Christmas, so if the game gets started sooner than that I would need to partner up with someone who can cover that time period. I would be happy to just ded lurk someone as well, that might work out better, although I should be able to handle daily turns after Christmas.

In terms of settings - I'd like to be involved in something a little different from the generic pick-the-best-leaders-and-play-a-normal-game settings.

I'm not sure exactly what that will look like but that's the kind of sentiment I am after

- Large map
- High difficulty
- Raging barbarians
- Always peace

IMHO always peace sort of defeats the purpose of a MP game. I'd be curious to see how a game turns out if it's played on deity, raging bars, though. I'm guessing that industrious leaders would be a favorite pick for the great wall. Organized and protective would also be improved.

I would be interested in a higher level difficulty game with raging barbs and TheGreatWall banned.

We put the level too high and we may end up without enough interest guys.

Personally I don't think I'm a good enough player to manage a very high level game alongside Raging Barbs as well on my own.

I like the different thinking but maybe a little bit more friendly
