Since we seem to be done with the XCOM SGs, I think we should start some more SGs of old games. One of my favorites originally released for SNES/DOS/Windows and probably some other stuff was Metal Marines. It was a fairly entertaining economic real time strategy game based around attacking one island from another island using missiles and giant robots.
So yeah, you can probably google the rest yourself. Its pretty easy to pick up and learn and only the later levels get really difficult (a few almost require save/reload).
One Caveat: It cannot be easily bought since it hasn't been reprinted. It is currently considered abandonware and only really available on used cartridge. Due to this, there are several legitimate sites that offer it for free download.
