Heeheehee. Little do they know, it's all a lie! Actually, it's an inland-sea duel-size map with nothing but desert outside of their screen shots.

Okay, for real this time. Here's the map as it currently stands, decidedly unfinished.
The basic concept is to have a long snaky world-spanning land mass with the six players spaced evenly along the snake, each sharing a resource-laden jungle land border with their North-South neighbors. Also, due to the nature of the zig-zag, each east-side player shares a treasure island with the other east side neighbors, and vice-versa with the rest. I could have taken screen shots, but durp, I didn't, because the bloody thing still as a lot to fill in.
Nonetheless, for the curious, here's the WB.file:

Good idea. It seems you haven't balanced it yet, so no other comments at this point.

Okay, we've gotten the bulk of things done, now I just need comments for balance. I'm okay with a little imbalance, but if there's anything glaring (like Yuri's position needing my forests), let me know.
Nospace Spirits:
Luddite Pindicator:
Sian:
Yuri Carpathia:
Fierce:
Mackoti:
An example "treasure island", it is technically split-able:
Random script-made over-ocean islands. Note that Aluminum, should the game progress that far, is only available out here:
Finally, the jungles in between the players, an example:
Worldbuilder file also attached.

One thing before I look in game... Yuri is the only team without oil.
You can get a look at a t-bone by looking up the bulls ass but I'd rather take the butcher's word for it.

Three more quick things..
*Luddite has far less river than everyone else.
*The super-nice island between Yuri and Mackoti allows galley access to the Western islands. The others do not. Or at least, not as easily.
*Fierce lacks copper

I love the concept, but can't actually seem to open the worldbuilder file. Maybe it cuz I have bugmod installed... but I can open other pbem saves just fine.
A couple things that jumped out at me:
-Only 2 teams start coastal... was that on purpose?
-Elephants will be your "causus belli" this time? I like that.
-Does Mackoti have iron?

I can answer both of these, having had a look at the save.
That jungle strip is actually the mainland's causus belli. Teams will fight there over iron, horses, and stone. There are other resources (ie pigs, and rivers) to make the land valuable, but three strategic resources makes it a settling priority. The resource-rich islands are also placed where 2-3 teams will fight over them. Very cool concept.

I believe MNG addressed the later two, there are six irons located between the teams, and each time the iron to the south is closer, but both are accessible/can be fought over.
Totally resource view:
And here's the file. Gave Yuri oil, Fierce copper, and Luddite rivers, plus added a couple more grassland tiles to Nospace Spirits' land as they were looking a little dry, making their gold/grassland cows more viable.

I find only two more potential balance issues:
*England's fish is the only one that's essentially lost if they SIP. Would probably be more balanced 2N, where it can also be used by a later filler city if need be.
*Western teams have easier galley access to the island chains.
And not a balance issue.. but you are quite an evil bastard. Showing every team two locations that are clearly better than settling in place, and making them choose from 3 viable (but 2 stronger) city sites? Great, love to see that kind of decision making right from the start.
