Hah, wow, [redacted] is about to get really rushed by [redacted]. That's some early attack, there...

Okay, in all seriousness, I'm looking forward most of all here to the inevitable NS7 vs. Mackoti showdown. Mackoti's fishing/Cre start was very smart given his foreknowledge of the map, it remains to be seen if he can compete with the micro-terrors that are the dream team.

Luddite, I love you man, but you're Exp and I gave you a plains hill start with a forested plains deer...that's golden, there. Sure, the big food-bonus tech is fishing, but it's not like you need either hunting or agriculture as the Zulu.

Overall, I'm enjoying the players very different approaches here. I'm hearing "Iron Working, Iron Working, Iron Working" everywhere, though, I'm wondering when the last jungle gets chopped in this world forever. Probably a lot sooner than normal.

Likewise, should be interesting to say the least smile

I really wish Sian and Fierce would update their thread more often, I'd like to see how they approach the game as completely new players.

Final note - Commodore, I really like this map concept, should serve to create some interesting conflicts.

I find the false war between yuri and seven fascinating... declare war just so you can propose peace for in-game treaty.

So much simpler if they could talk, but more intrigue this way.

If I were yuris I'd read this as them REALLY wanting peace and go for a choke.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

novice Wrote:Good job. So the interesting twist with the map is probably that everyone has four neighbours to share land with - two on land, and two different ones with which to share islands. We have islands that are contested by the players two spots north of us and two spots south of us.

Sigh, well, they grasped that quick. I hope Luddite and Sian can get galleys out in reasonable time or this will be even more of a cakewalk.

Did you have any doubt that Seven would be the first to figure out the map?

As Scooter isn't in this one, no, not really. I am curious to see if anyone else will prioritize the islands too though...maybe Yuri if he manages to snag the Colossus will take a seaward path, although his UU screams "land wars in Australia for fun and profit".

Is Fierce just paranoid or is he actually planning on rushing someone?
