Well we have our lineup. In terms of a theme for this one I only had one idea spring to mind, and based on the fact that we were put on this world with no idea or clue of what we may face (other than say Nukes! )
what better way to introduce your lineup but with this:
Opening the order we have Ellimist playing Pacal of the Incans
Followed by .....
Nakor playing as Elizabeth of India (I had to get her in somewhere )
Followed by ....
Serdoa as Peter of Egypt
And of course me playing Willem of the Ottamen

Well he managed to come out alive, lets hope I can reciprocate that
BUT LAST BUT NOT LEAST .......... Ruff

Yes, thats right lurkers, the hunters are becoming the hunted
Just a brief summary for everyone including me so I can understand who every one is and what their traits are etc...
Ellimist - Pacal of Inca
UU is Quecha, good for possible early choke, but in this game probably worthless with Ruffs barbs coming in every direction no doubt.
UB is Terrace, nice UB, every city needs a granary, especially those that give you free culture, very nice
FIN & EXP traits - Two top traits, EXP allows for cheap Terraces (nice synergy) and no doubt where possible he will be mass producing workers to improve his terrain whilst FIN will help the tech rate roll along quite nicely
Mysticism and Agriculture start. Early religion maybe, but I can see worker techs probably taking a higher priority. Not the best starting techs imo but the UB more than compensates.
Serdoa - Peter of Egypt
UU is War Chariot. Ok if he has horsies around and about otherwise pretty much screwed for a selection. If he has though, watch out for a possible rush on someone if he can deal with barbs also.
UB is the Obelisk which is not that great imo, so would be interesting to see what he can get out of it. Possible play for Henge
PHI & EXP traits - maybe he has plans for GPP farms to aid research. EXP as mentioned above for cheap granaries and cheaper workers.
Wheel & Agriculture. 2 decent starting techs, and his workers will have more than enough to do even if it is just building roads. Be interesting to see if Henge will be a play as his UU will require to go down AH route first - will it be too late?
Nakor - Elizabeth of India
UU are the Fast Workers (like you didn't already know) ... I should have picked these first over Willem, gambled and lost
UB is the Mausoleum which may be useful later on in wars but early doors its all about the UU
FIN & PHI traits - I don't rate PHI too highly, probably because I have tried and failed to play the GPP play. Played well though, this trait can be a force to be reckoned with.
Mysticism & Mining. Again, possible religion play but unlikely. Theres no food improvement techs, so expect to probably see BW first if theres enough trees, which based on Ruffs semi spoiler start looked like there just might be, followed by some resource improvement techs.
Pegasus - Willem of the Ottomen
UU is the Jannissary which is a decent midgame unit, but expect to see it mainly on defence as opposed to attack
UB is the hammam which gives me +2 happies to go with my +2 health
FIN & CRE traits. I think I have the best traits to start. No need to worry about culture this game, cheap libraries and theatres, and the FIN to help me keep the research rolling.
Wheel & Agriculture techs to start. I'm hoping for some Wheat or Corn to get the ball rolling for my workers, but with the wheel in hand, roads will also come in handy.
In terms of strategy this game, I am thinking along the lines of proably making a play for Mids and HG's but it's too soon for that. I think defence might be first priority!

I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

And the game is up and running.....
Here is what I received. I did move the Warrior onto the PH took a piccie (that didn't work) and then moved the Settler onto the PH also. Then realised the piccie had not worked so this is after the very first turn.
Oh... and as Ruff is complaining he looks nothing like the mug shot in my previous post I took another one .....
Perhaps my first mugshot piccie caused that -100 relations
It looks like only Nakor settled on the first turn

Really - the barb nation AI shows as a Khan. At the start, I get Sid's pic - try opening a diplo window and tell me who you see.

No, ok, not the diplo screen. I guess I mean the one before trade screen ... the one that shows the leader picture.

Not entirely sure which screen you are referring to, so went through everything I could. All pic's come up as Khan that I can see.
Not only 9 cities, but GLH at size 5 and then next 4 are at size 4
