neleai Wrote:HelloHi - welcome! I fear most of the pictures have been lost forever (or at least until Sirian brings the Warp Core back up again) but the text and some scattered images can be found through the Internet Wayback Machine. This one was archived two and a half years ago, for instance. I hope this helps!
I don't have anything from my old site archived on my current computer. It's all on some hard drives lying around in old machines, but I have quite a few of those and aren't sure what's where or what may have been lost.
There wasn't that much to the MOO content, though. Five game reports and a few stray thoughts? I would see about rescuing the old files if I were going to start up a new site, but honestly, I lost the motivation for running a site and haven't gotten it back. All my energy that used to go into running a site now goes in to actually working on games. I can say that the files probably still exist intact. The applicable hard drives are still here with me. We will have to see where Diablo 3 leads. All the elements of my personality that went in to game writings for Descent, Diablo, MOO and Civ are still there. It's only a question of which avenues of expression they take. Those avenues haven't been public for a while, but you never know if the itch may return. Diablo 3 might open the door. - Sirian

And Sirian, whatever the quantity, your reports and thoughts on MoO (and a bunch of other games!) were terrific. If you found it worth your time, I'd be delighted to see even one of your reports (old or new, and on any game) online again, and I know I've seen several other folk around here expressing similar feelings. I suppose if nothing else though, like Rowain, I can hope D3 opens those public avenues of expression for you once more - and in that and other ways proves worth the wait!
Greetings.
I register specially for this. I still remember when your site disapear and I curse myself for not making backup in time. Please bring it back. It was extremly well writen and entertaining. Another vote for it.
A lot of Sirian's stuff can be accessed through the Wayback Machine archives. I have a link on my website to the Diablo 2 section, here you go. It's not everything, but I'd say roughly 70% of the Civ3 and Diablo 2 content is still preserved.
