I put up a news bit on the front civ page that links to an interesting thread with accurate CIV combat information. I know that most of you probably aren't in the habit of checking the site if you watch the forums, so I figured I'd better mention it here.
I won't promise to do the same in the future, so keep at least one eye on the site from time to time, OK? 
I thought about writing up something on how combat works myself, but Solver and DeepO enjoyed working that stuff out during the testing too, and they've done a better job than I could have as far as explaining it. Anyone learning Civ4 should definitely follow that link and read up on how the system works.
Very nice work on the site too, Griselda! A lot of good updates in the past week.
