We have a handful of peeps interested already....
The idea is to use our existing end-game characters. The characters need to have done the last mission from Hell's Precipice to have the Titan quests (saving Tyria) available. To quote
Quote:The Titan Quests are a series of five new veteran-level quests, starting in Droknarâs Forge and spanning the continent, that continue the storyline for those who have already vanquished the foes of Hell's Precipice. These quests feature some of the most challenging and rewarding content in the game, with ten new types of monsters, including several never-before-seen creature types.
Before I start a recruitment thread, I think, maybe we should know a bit more of these quests - Especially Saving Droknar's Forge since that is the first of the series.
I have only been to these places a couple of times as a tourist so I am hoping those of you who have more experience in the areas would shed some light on the subject. Concentrating on Droknar's first - What are the monster types, their skills and anything you care to share with us, as well as any strategy, team makeup you think crucial and viable.
Keep in mind these runs need not be of formal grouping, in that, if we can arrange to get enough people on at one time for any of the OBECTIVES, that team is good to go - Each run can be formed by different people and different characters.
Let the madness begin

Defend Droknar's Forge
Titan's Heart: Target priority 1. The heart is a healer and generally not that robust when you get some decent spike damage happening. Shut it down fast and kill it faster.
Dark Titan: Target priority 2. The Dark Titans are the Necromancers and will cause some nasty poison output once the corpses start piling up. They use Necrotic Traversal, so warriors might want to camp a Titan's Heart corpse for a second or two for the DT to show up and kill it there. They go down pretty quick. It's best to pick them off early.
Icy Brute: Target priority 3. This warrior is a minor nuisance and will spawn a Dark Titan upon death.
Titan's Malice: A Mesmer that spawns a Titan's Heart upon death. Annoying enough in itself, but the worst annoyance is some people prioritise them high in the pecking order with the end result being a sudden appearance of two or even three Titan's Hearts healing each other. Don't touch these bastards until there's only Malices and Frost Titans left.
Frost Titan: Elementalist with melee attacks reminiscent of the Maguuma spirits, the Frost Titans will spawn an Icy Brute and a Titan's Malice upon death so again, leave it alone until everything else is pushing up frozen daisies.

Who does the titan's quest start with? I have one character that has finish Hell's Precipice, but have not seen references to titans yet.

I totally agree with War Blade's assessment of DD.
I think the hearts have Mark of Protection. I used 4 different strategies to kill them:
1. Keep pounding on them even if they cast it on themselves.
2. Focus on a dark titan, having the heart cast MoP on the dark titan, then refocus on the heart. It will go down fast.
3. Focus on the heart and try to interrupt MoP. Again, it will go down fast.
4. Damage and kill it before it can cast MoP.
Malice's use degen hexes and hexes that slow attack speeds.
Necrotic traversal can be interrupted...assuming you're focused on the one using it.
Brutes do pretty big physical damage. My suggestion is to blind them while taking out priority targets. (dust trap, eruption, throw dirt are nice as they might blind others as well)

Hearts do indeed have Mark of Protection. I put Lingering Curse on Remy just for that one mission to shut them down.
Frost Titans use Maelstrom, so make sure you're on the move when they shoot it out.
It's a pretty good idea to kill the Avicara bosses while you work your way through the titans, since the morale boost helps out quite nicely.

I haven't done any testing on this yet, but a couple of times I've seen these things die in EvE conflicts and picked up a 2% boost myself without having to lift a finger. It could make for some interesting baiting and luring possibilities if anyone knows what's going on there. 8)

Titans kill EVERYTHING indigenous to that region they're occupying.
Be it the creatures you can get as pets, stone summit, or avicara.
They only don't kill Charr for some reason and of course they don't kill their little spark buddies.
Its fun to watch avicara and titans fight it out in shiverpeaks. Actually one time I went with a ranger (I was monk) and the rest henchies. We watched for 5 minutes as the ranger avicara boss went at it with a malice and heart. We felt bad for the boss, since it was 2 on 1, so we intervened and killed the titans...then the boss attacks us...that's how greatful he was.
But yeah, avicara and titans will fight eachother. Titans win more often than not. And if they kill a boss and you're in the area you get the morale boost.

After all, one has to attack something (or be close to a team mate who attacks?) before any experience can be gained. In contrast it's pretty bizarre how we can be running around minding out own business and suddenly a +2% boost pops up on the display without any help from a player.
It used to happen once in a while, but these Titans make it a far more frequent occurence these days.

It's not really bizarre when you think about it. Morale doesn't work the way exp does. Whenever a boss dies you get a morale boost. It can even happen when the boss is on your side. When you do the Galen Trask mission/quest in Sorrow's Furnace pick up the Fire in the Hole quest and lead the Djinn to the summit bosses. They die, you get morale. I'm don't remember if the bosses will drop items for you or not, it would be interesting if they did.
Whenever I go to Mineral Springs, the Avicara bosses usually beat the titan teams if they actually target the monks first. Then again, if the titans target the Avicara monks first, it goes the way of the titan. It all depends on who loses their monks first, just like PvP.
