I'll be on vacation and mostly offline from March 23-31. Since the game hasn't started yet, it will be in its very early stages so we're not talking about a big time commitment. I can't guarantee being able to log in and give turn-by-turn directions, so the sub should be unspoiled.

I can play few turns for you. I've probably glanced all the threads there, but currently can't remember anything meaningful so I hope I'm unspoiled enough to run few early turns.

What I've done is to have two different folders under Mods currently named "Erebus in the Balance" and "Erebus in the Balance v9". This is my setup for the pitboss game; to play a PBEM save, I'll rename the former folder to "Erebus in the Balance v8" and the latter to "Erebus in the Balance". This sounds like a disaster waiting to happen; I may end up instead using one computer exclusively for the PBEM game to avoid the inevitable screw-up.
Oh, and thanks for the offer, plako!

There must be easier way, but I guess I could live with that for a week especially when the turaround time in pitboss game is close to week an average.

Shortcut to the folder on your desktop and renaming the EitB folder takes ~10 sec...
I could play the turns as well btw.

OK, thanks Yell0w. If the game starts before my vacation, I'll make sure I have lots of documentation for my early turns; if not, I'll leave some notes on my plans for the opening turns.

Well, if you go on vacations before the map is ready, I won't allow a replacement for you.
Seriously, though. It's better to wait another week for the game than having another player play the first turns for you. Nothing against Yellow, obviously. It's just that settling your first city and deciding what to build is too important of a decision to give it to another player. If you end up with your capital in a place that you didn't want, how can you enjoy the game from then on?
So, if that's the case, I think we should wait until you are back. Hopefully Mardoc gets the map done before you leave (or maybe he can get us starting screenshots, that may also help). But if that's not the case, it'd be unfair to have your first turns not being played by you.
