I like the point system. It forces people to think a bit differently than in standard setting:
Quote:"You can have 5 points.
4: FIN
3: EXP, ORG, India, Inca
2: SPI, IND, CRE, Vikings, Dutch
1: PHI, Holy Rome, All other Agriculture civs
0: IMP, CHA, AGG, PRO, All other civs"
In PBEM45, which had pretty similar settings I went with Hannibal + Ottomans, while Pindicator & Noble, who won the vets game took Vicky of Sumeria. Because these starts again have lots of river riles and as working coastal tiles will again be probable, I would probably repeat my selection and choose a FIN leader. Azza's fist pick (EXP/IND) can of course be justified as well..
More specifically depending on start and feeling, I would take one of these:
Elizabeth of Hunting
Victoria of Agriculture
Hannibal of Agriculture
Any spoilers Commodore about the map?

Completely not balanced, but shape largely here. Astro-land meant to be ridiculous.

Ok, I'm forever banned from ded-lurking this game now. Wow, whoever scouts that island is going to freak out.

random findings
'maya' copper seems ever so slightly weaker than everyone elses, in terms of what food theres around it
'maya' seems a bit heavy on sheep ... maybe change the sheep by the copper into a pig (helping the previous note as well)
'ethiopia' on the other hand seems a bit heavy on corn
the area north of 'cathage' seem a bit dull, next to no forests, few hills, few rivers and tons of grassland ... actually ... looking at Cathage they could have a monster city 5e2n ... Pig, double fish, gem and copper.
Given that its difficulity prince i'd say that Org is overpriced, but probably to late to that party

how about a desection of the picks?
Azza - Bismark of Aztecs
Dhalphir- Hannibal of Persia
TBS - Zara of Mali
BaII - Elizabeth of Mongolia
Dtay - Victoria of China
Azza ... well, quickly built exp graneries to support SacAltars in the midgame ... no major eyecatch in this one but a solid choice.
TBS have picked Zara which, due to my opinons about Org being overpriced since its only prince, is IMO somewhat questionable, and Mali doesn't really bring anything to the table but early security, which would have been much more relevant on a explicitly tightfitting map.
Dhalpir ... why in the name of all thats holy would you pick Persia when Egypt is around as well ... War Chariots is better for everything, and the Priest slots from the UB might actually be of use in certain circumstances (something i highly doubt Apothecary would ever be).
BaII have picked something with is good at everything, but may drop out since he's good at everything (and can't keep focus).
Dtay ... same as Azza really ... not really anything eyecatching but certainly a solid (if bland) choice.
My estimates would be that if he can keep focus BaII should have the best chances, else i'd put my money on Azza

Yeah, he gets a marginal beaker advantage with the 2 prereqs for AH, but it's more than offset by the value of Wheel vs Hunting anyway. I'm very surprised nobody took Egypt - it seems quite underpriced.
I still pick Dhalphir to win this because it will come down to skill level and who will put the effort and thought into the game. I think he said he was Grandmaster in Starcraft 2? That is a seriously impressive achievement, which shows he will put a lot of dedication into a game.

I think Azza will win with his experience advantage.

I would not pick Egypt.. As a player I would assume that this map is somewhat similar to the one in PBEM45, which means that distances are too big for ancient warfare to make any kind of sense and 2-movers aren't that useful due to the emphasis on naval warfare. From Agri/Wheel civs I like Sumeria, Ottomans and probably also France more than Egypt.
But I'm aligned with you guys that Persia was a suboptimal pick.
