[SPOILERS] 2metraninja duels Dhalphir

Little duel to keep my guard up in civ while waiting the new pitbosses I signed up to develop.

Plus, I was told I need to actually win something at RB. So far my record here shows 2 lost duels and middle finish in a pitboss.

So, I wanted to test out Roosevelt of Sumeria, as this is what I choose for PB16. Not sure if it will work out well enough on small map and some more fighting assured because of the duel mentality "all that hurts my opponent benefits me directly".

LOL, whole pitboss finished before a mere duel. Is it the duel taking too long or the pitboss was quickly conceded? Most probably both.

Anyway, we resumed playing this duel after 3 months break which was mostly due to my enormous work load.

The game is pretty even I can say with Dhalphir having slight edge with having settled 1 more city I think and having built an Academy in his capitol last turn. I am about to settle 2 very good cities on my own claiming the best part of the small land between us both on the mirror axis.

Militarily Dhalphir was way more aggressive going for HAs and sending couple to harass me. Couple of spears built at the right time did their work great, so now it is peaceful again.

I had built the Stonehenge to leverage Dhalphir's CRE advantage and let me settle cities in more optimal and stretchy manner which will be worth I think, as the map is quite small. Something like real "Duel" map. Maybe each of us will have like 8-9 cities at most maybe.

Another thing is there is a turn limit of 100 and we are at t40+ already, so there might be a case of no one being able to overwhelm military the other one. Then what? Score decides the winner or?

Went this turn to see if the world size is actually Duel, when I saw to my biggest surprise there is a 1 city elimination limit!

I should have knew that smile
