Potential Christmas ADVENTURE

WilliamLP raised the possibility of an Adventure over Christmas, given that a lot of the PBs and PBEMs are going to be taking length breaks or turn timers.

I am far too new to pretend that I could sponsor something like this, but I would LOVE to play and report, and I see that an Adventure hasn't been done in a looong time.

I'm in the same boat really. I realize I was being "that guy", asking if anyone would create one without being willing or able to do it myself. But I'd definitely play and report. It wouldn't have to be too novel or have a complicated scoring system or anything like that, but it would just be fun to compare milestones and results with other players.

Maybe a pot-luck adventure?

Pot-luck is usually fun.

Can I ask what a potluck adventure entails? I'm not familiar with some of the older RB traditions.

Where a number of different civs are put on a normal un-modded map (usually Pan-Gaia) and each player is assigned one of the civs by rng to play out in single player. So you'd usually have seven or eight different sets of saves (depending on the no. of civs) with four or five Beyondsians in each set.

And the goal ususally is "have fun!"

I like it. Brian, can you set that up? It doesn't have to be an official adventure with Mod approval, does it?

That would be awesome fun.

You should know wink

I have enough time to quickly throw this together if there is sufficient interest. For a potluck game, there would need to be quite a lot of people for there to be comparable reports unless you play on something like a tiny map. Previous potluck games have been the biggest on this site, with 44 entries into the BTS adventure, and 59 for the vanilla version.
