Adventure 2 - Zeviz's Report

This adventure was very fun and challenging. It was my first complete Monarch game, and, considering the start, I wasn't really expecting a victory. My strategy was similar to Kylearan's, but more extreme. Instead of fighting Caesar, I expanded straight south and fought Mao. As for firestarting, I tried to make sure that both #1 and #2 AIs would always be at war with somebody other than me. Unfortunately, I've shadowed this report by forgetting to save the game when shutting it down in frustration one time and having to reload from older autosave. (I still haven't reset autosave frequency.)

Hi,

oooh, another warmonger's game! Sounds very interesting and exciting, but the site transfer limit is already exceeded so I cannot view it. frown

Again?! I went light on pictures this time. (Only 15 total.) Stupid Geocities.

If that link doesn't work, try this one: http://www.geocities.com/zeviz1/RBAdventure2/part1.html (only 3 pictures here, so shouldn't overload even that rediculously low limit).

So go and reset the autosave number right now! (It took you more effort to tell us you still hadn't, than it would take to reset it!)

Very nice Game smile

And a very interesting way to play this Game neglecting the North and just expanding down south eliminating Mao.

Did you consider to relocate your capital?

Thanks smile

I am surprized more people didn't expand straight south. The land there was better than what Caesar had and facing Mao's Catapults was much easier than facing Caesar's Pretorians.

About relocating the capital, if I understand correctly, main benefits are decreased distance maintanance and increased benefit from Beurocracy civic. In this case, distance maintanance was decreased even more by building Forbidden Palance in Bejing. And the original capital was my highest production city until lumberbills and highest science city until Great Library became obsolete with Scientific Method. At that point my top science and top production cities were different, and I wasn't running Beurocracy anyway, so there was no reason to move capital at that point either.
