Thanks Plako
So I've been thinking, and what I'm thinking is that in an AW game, I want a PRO leader. Seeing that there's food and a plains hill around only reinforces this intention. For the second trait, I'm thinking IMP is my first preference, then CHA, then AGG. So, in order of preference, Charlemagne, Churchill, Tokugawa
With this start, I want... well, I definitely want Fishing, because I don't see any option other than SIP, and with SIP there's no good land tile to work until border pops. For the second tech, I want Mining. This is a clear WB first opening, which means I won't get a Worker for a while, and Mining gives me the option to go BW first if that's what I want. Agri and Hunting are on the way to AH, which I need for that sheep, but they're also the cheapest techs, so I'm fine researching them
Civs which start with Fishing/Mining: Carthage, England, Portugal, Rome. Out of these, England is clearly best. I think I will pick England first, and a leader on the way back

Don't forget that in ToW, you can build workboats without needing Fishing tech! You still need Fishing to actually work the water tiles, and it is more expensive here, so you might still want to start with it - I just wanted to point that ToW change out.

Yes I remember - but there are no good land tiles in the first ring. Admittedly, there's a high chance that I will want to work one of the hammer-producing tiles to get the Pro bonus on WB production. But whether it's important will depend on other available tiles, the ones I can't see right now, and I want the option to work water tiles from the start

So I got my first choice of Charlemagne of England
The most likely opening is Workboat - Warrior - Workboat - whip Settler at size 4. This means a BW first research is likely, then AH via Hunting. Possibly Hunting before BW for Scout speed. Agri when needed, also depends when I manage to fit in a Worker build. This start does mean at least one WB before Worker, and considering I'm 2 techs away from AH (don't think it's wrong, but it's a fact) and don't have any Agri resources visible, a second WB before the first Worker is likely
For midgame, I have a variety of options. Pro trait will give a few extra hammers for unit building, and I think I'm the only Pro leader in the game. So I can build a big army, go aggressive, produce a bunch of great generals, make a few super-units to help in my assault. Or I can go economic with double-speed Stock Exchanges. Depends on the situation. Imp trait gives me a wealth of options, and has synergy with England's UB
So yeah. Ideally I will expand, then expand, then expand some more, then tech to Redcoats and conquer the world. But my opponents probably have a different vision of how this game should progress

Settles in place as planned. Working the forested fill NE of the capital for a fast Workboat. Pretty sure workboating the fish 2 tiles away is better than the crab 1 tile away, so that is the plan. The "micro" is to work the 1/2/0 forested hill to completion of the first WB, then 2/1/0 for a turn while that WB is moving to the fish (building the second WB), then the 5/0/2 fish
BW research would take 10 turns even in this low commerce configuration, so went Hunting first for Scout speed. The plan is Hunting - BW - Archery - AH - other Worker techs as necessary
Will post screenshots when I have something exciting to show
