Uh, maybe something about Horselover Fat? I've never read VALIS though

Uh okay, so what's the plan here...
I've lately been on a streak of playing powerful but somewhat slow-building leaders, getting up to a solid second place in score, and then getting crushed (or concedeing right before getting crushed) by someone playing an aggressive leader. Plus Mardoc beat me in our duel with Tasunke, and I'm having a lot of fun winning against Kragroth in our duel with Rhonanna (but would be significantly better off with Tasunke). So, if you can't beat em', join em', and all that. Second choice leader was Charadon, third was Volanna. Charadon wasn't first because he's just bit too dependent on sustaining early and hard aggression for what I thought I could likely pull off, Volanna third because I know myself well enough to see the "just one more tech!" trap she presented. Anyway, Tasunke is pretty cool. No economic advantages, ignoring the pillage bonus, but no disadvantages either. He also doesn't have any blocked units, which is quite nice. Mounted units are obviously where his strength lies, with Mounted Mercs being the ideal, but his Axemen are quite brutal as well and his summons are surprisingly strong, should I ever get around to building mages (unlikely, but who knows). I'll need to read up a bit to see whether aristofarms or cstates cottages are the way to go. I can see merits for both options. Not bad. Kind of tempted to rename the thread "Back in the Saddle Again" and go with an Aerosmith theme, but I kind of like the curent one I do need a theme though... maybe various rock artists / bands in general. Alternatively might do a bit of self-depreciation and use the names of famously inept military commanders.

If there's any game or other stuff you all want my thoughts on, enquire away; feels kind of silly doing leader analysis at this point though.
I will say that my survey of previous Tasunke games has me leaning toward a cottage econ, especially since we're using v11.1 and Conquest is still at Education. Aristofarms will steer me more toward Chariots, due to Construction being eventually necessary for both. They certainly aren't without merit though... idk, I'll end up probably starting off with cottages if the map isn't incredibly resource-lush, and then possibly transition to aristocracy if the map is allow for an empire between "cramped" and "huge" and is generous in the freshwater department. How about opponent analysis? Who's a tasty target, who's a threat to win, etc? I realize that the direction of the horsemen horde depends in large part on geography, but are there any other factors you're considering?
