I made a thread. If Retep reappears imminently, then I may have just created work for the admins, but those guys are totally bored anyway right?
If i'm playing, then i'm Cathy of Korea. Considerably the worst leader in my view. She's better than the average BTS leader for sure, but she's the worst in this pack. FIN/EXP are my favourite traits, followed by ORG and IND. That said, I might not even be playing this game if backwards peter turns up. Cathy is not bad, she's just got zero late game and any EXP leader beats her early game. Pericles is the closest but PHI can be fun to leverage. We make do. Korea is fine. Better than some of the other trash.
I don't know the skill level of the other players here so will do some digging. Thoth seems to have been about forever, like wasn't he Adam and Eve's neighbour or something?

Hello, finally a game I can lurk you in Good luck and have fun, and I warmly hope you report more frequently knowing that at least someone is reading (cough cough PBEM74).

Haha. That's basically it, there is no enthusiasm to report as the community has largely drifted away from civ 4 PBEM reports which, I guess, makes perfect sense. I have a physical notepad in front of my PC that usually has garbled notes to myself to keep track of things, I probably should use my thread to do this instead but it's just quick to refer to paper as I can be ingame simultaneously.
That being said, if your (or anyone else's) interest remains, then I shall endeavour to report more frequently. Starting with the most important decision, naming theme. Any suggestions? I won't promise to use them but they will be taken under consideration. I like to use something I can easily think of more names for without having to reference any websites. eg. board games. I am a bit of a board game enthusiast so I just named cities after games from my collection.

Thank you. Considering we start with mysticism and mining, the only possible thing that makes sense is to start worker first and research bronze working. Use the first worker to chop forests into Stonehenge. I have a headstart on the religious tree too so let's go for the famed 'hydra' and get all three early religions in the capital. Sure, that slows expansion but we're thinking long term here. Cultural victory is basically assured from that point.

Other than Pericles, i'm the only creative. If I get all three early religions and build Stonehenge in my capital, then the others are relying on monuments. Think how much that will set them back in their dotmapping and early build orders. More workers? No, we need to slow build a damn monument because Khan is a cultural phenomenon.

Played the turn. Nothing much to see. A turn of scouting and then settling in place revealed not a single additional resource to keep Bambi happy.
Research set to hunting and worker being built, like there was ever an alternative.

More importantly, is your naming scheme going to be fictional characters with dead parents? :3
