Rowains Adv3 in 3 acts

First  I'm sorry I played the game some weeks ago and wrote the report but didn't manage to prepare all the screenshots to accompany this report.

Part 1 the BC-years:

Start: we are right at the line between 2 continents.
But where is my production ?? I see only one lonely hill in the south noting in the north.
So I sent the settler south to get the Hill first ring and the plains.
T2 Settled Slinger started:
T3: first Barb encountered and hit. He runs away I decide to look further east to find his camp.
T4 foreign Trade boost gotten. First settlement-plan
T5 first contact: A greek warrior comes from the south.
T7 Barbscout ends next to my scouting warrior and dies.
T8 Barbcamp discovered
T11 Slinger complete Warrior started.
T13 Barbcamp cleared. Contact with India
T16:New government God King and Discipline
T17 Greek sent gift and assure me that no wooden Horse is included
T18 Warrior complete Settler ordered
T21 Slinger kills Barbscout → Archery boost + BW boost
Interturn: contact with 2 CS(Zanzibar and Carthage) and 3 Greekwarrior close to capital
T22 order my scouting Units back towards capital. Switch production from Settler to Slinger
T24 AH in BW started. Another greek unit sighted
T27 Foreign trade in Craftsmanship started Pantheon of religious settlement founded. Buy Worker.
T28 Slinger complete. Still all peaceful so resume Settler build.
T36 Settler complete start another Slinger
T38 change in policies Urban Planning + Agoge instead of God King and Discipline
Saw a Greek settler move to the west of my capital.
T40 tried to catch the Settler but he was too fast. As the greek units are still sitting next to my capital I declare war. I also want to get that settler or the city he founds as it will clearly be within my zone of influence. And I need to start attacking anyway. Neapolis founded
T42 Greece settled new city in the west.
T44 Archery in first unit upgraded. Greeks removed from capital soil.
T47 marching towards the western greekcity
T50 Greek buy CS LaVenta who declares war on me and becomes my 3rd CS-contact
T54 archers are strong enough to shoot down ancient walls.
T56 Sparta captured.
T61 policies switch to colonization.
T62 Siege of Corinth
T66 Corinth captured. On interturn Contact with Rome
T67 Sign peace with greek. He pays 200 gold,  11gpt +the 2 cities I captured.
T70 new policy: conscription
T71 settle KulOba
T79 new government Oligarchy. Buy a Settler to settle towards Rome.
T84 Gelonus settled. Prepare for attacking India but there are 2 greek Units near Sparta. I'm not worried as the Garrison is strong there but still what does he want?
T87 found 2 lonesome barb-workers ( I will capture them and after some adventures they happily reach my lands.)  More Greek Units.

Somewhere t90 or a bit later: Greek declares war … on Rome so he marched his Units all the way to attack Rome? I immediately order my Units to the south to take advantage of the absence of the Greek Units. War with India is cancelled. Contact with Germany and Egypt.

Adv 03 Part 2: the Indian war:

After the Greek empire got incorporated I decided to bring the pain towards India. I prefer to have my backside secure. Beside India settle a city right next to the old Greek capital. I tried to spread the old Greek faith but it got wiped out by roman apostles before I could spread it.

T120
The Units are settled for attack and I have a spare envoy which I use to become Suzerain of Carthage. That paid of very well as this citystate did bind many Indian Units.

War declared.
T123 Patna (the annoying city next to Athens) is razed.
T123 – T 131 marching towards Agra. At T131 I discover Gunpowder.
T134: Agra captured and kept.
T135: New Government: Monarchy
T140: Delhi captured.  I decide to capture the rest of the Indian cities too before I started the march to the west.  Vilnius which is allied with India sent a a lot of Units. The CS are stronger in that regard than the standard AI's. As I have to keep some Units near agra that delays the conquest a bit.
T149: Calcutta captured.

T153 Petra finished in Kul Oba smile start Pyramids
T155 Cleopatra declare vs Trajan.
T156 (900AD) Mumbai falls and India is no more.

The plan is now build 4 Bombards (which I started already sometime ago) and upgrade the 4 catapults to Bombards. Use 2vets Bombarsd + 2 newly built ones together with some Muskets to attack Rome in the Northwest. The other Bombards + some Muskets to attack in the  Southwest first those 2 german cities and then Egypt. The Indian religion is still quite strong so I will spread it a bit. to avoid any sudden religious victory problems that might arise with all those roman missionaries.
Going by he City-lists I don't expect many problems for the remainder of the Game.

Adv 03 Part 3 Go West:
T162 settle Chertomlyk. New Goverment: Theocracy: I can now buy Units with faith smile
T166 Napolean joins the Scythian Empire. This is great as using him creates a Musket-Army at a time where the AI not even have Corps.
T167 Ballistics learned onward to steel and Artillery.
War on Rome declared and Pyramids completed.
T170 Cumae captured.
T171 war on Germany declared. This is also triggers war with Hattusa which is right next to several of my cities fitting nicely in my empire.

T173 Heidelberg captured.
T175 Colosseum completed. Antium captured.
T177 Capture Hattusa
T178 Steel learned
T179 Rome captured; Berlin captured . As before with India I decide to wipe out all of Rome.  Especially as Trajan insists on returning Rome to him
[Image: Adv03_T179a.jpg?dl=1]

T182: Declare war on Egypt.
T183 Ostia captured. The main Army will now turn southwards via sea as I have finally learned how to navigate.  Some newly bought units will clear the last Roman city.
T185 Ra-Kadet captured only Aachen left from the capitals.
T188 2 Artilleries and 1 Knight are enough to capture Puteoli and Trajan retires.
T189 The southern Army on its way to Aachen takes out Abydos and Cleopatra embraces her Asps.
T190 capture a German Settler
T194: the southern Army surrounds Aachen the northern is set to take Mainz.
west:

and east:

T195: capture Mainz and Aachen Game ends in victory. Frankfurt and Magdeburg remain german

Thanks for the report!
I guess I'm curious on what you built armywise for the earlier wars - from the 1AD picture it looks like the UU horse archers and catapults, but a little hard to to tell (with the moved units semi-transparent and the zoomed out view the icons are a bit hard to read).

You seemed to capture all of most of the civs on the map - did you get much out of taking the extra cities?

For the 1st Greek wars Archers & Warriors. For the 2nd Greek war, Catapults and 1 or other Speer.
For India 2 more Pikes ( for their elephants)
For the rest upgraded units -Crossbows, Bombards/Artillerie, Muskets (especially the Napoleon-sponsored army) were enough.

I built 1 early double UU but found their power rather weak so they were for scouting or providing vision. I used the 2 for 1 later for a Horseman-built. I did not really use the Scythians 2-for-1 power but I really loved the heals after killing one smile

Fun smile
+ I wanted to rule the world and not just some lousy cities.

The Greek-cities did provide valuable support in unit production, research and gold. The southern Army was mainly produced there.
India was too far away and didn't matter production-wise but had a lot of harbours/commercial districts in place. They did greatly increase my possible trade-routes. Rome, Egypt came too late to play any role. The holy districts most AI-cities had - paid for 4-5 Units in the end (faithbuying with theocracy).
