Just wanted to start a thread for us lurkers. Be careful when you post here that you don't accidentally post spoilers with regard to PBEM2 as we will all be busy lurking here, too.
I do hope that PBEM3 will have active reporting just like PBEM2.

I was actually trying earlier to come up with a clever lurking title thread that would reference the fact that I expect much of the lurking will come from those of us in PBEM 2
I'll say early on I'm happy to see players considering 'suboptimal' picks - instead of just taking some combination of Germany, China, Greece, etc.
Hopefully not many spoilers for PBEM2 will get dropped here, although honestly its probably inevitable that one or two minor ones will. It feels like the progress of our game has had some definite influence on some of the settings people asked for - if absolutely nothing else.
Hoping for frequent updates!

You could have the title be " Lurkers' Paradise for PBEM2 Players". Not very creative but I am pretty sure a lot of posts will come from the people in PBEM2

The player threads are where all the action's at
Maybe it's just the novelty of the new game, but these Civ 6 PBEMs are a real page-turner. It helps that reporting has been so detailed, of course.
Bacchus drew the best trio of civs, by my money. Even India seems quite strong, and the Varu UU sounds interesting - that debuff aura might be real nasty combined with a GG.

I'm super excited that everybody is choosing civilizations that have not been showcased in PBEM yet and we get to see how they stack up.

Civ 4 players are also lurking in the Civ 6 threads, just to be clear on that.

Did I miss an explanation of "OLORAM"? I did a Google search and the only relevant offering was oledavy's PBEM2 thread, so I clearly can't check that....

I am pretty sure it is the Pantheon "Our Lady of the Reed and Marshes" which adds +1 production to marshes. I don't understand why he wants it banned because it is very situational. At best, it is 3/1/0 tile for marshes and for floodplains. Sullla did use it well in PBEM1 but it only provides the same as a jungle bananas. I guess you could get a 4/1/0 with a marsh rice.

Maybe we need to come up with a better name, something like "DON'T click here Ichabod"
