OK, want a civ that starts with agriculture, those are:
America
Babylon
China
Dutch
Egypt
France
Inca
Native Americans
Ottomans
Persian
Sumeria
Zulu
I've eliminated those I've played recently, so let's look at the other techs:
America, Dutch - Fishing
Babylon, Egypt, Ottoman, Sumeria - The Wheel
Inca - Mysticism
Zulu - Hunting
I'm landlocked, so I can exlude the fishing civs. I don't like going for religion, but the Terrace is still very good, but I don't expect the Inca to be available by then, also, a cheap culture building doens't really mesh with wanting an early religion, which starting with Myst encourages. So I think I can exclude the Inca as well.
That leaves, in order of preference:
Zulu, because they're always pretty good and having Hunting and Agriculture will make AH faster to get.
Egypt, decent early UU and UB, although I tend to delay Myst as long as possible, so a UU monument isn't that interesting, although with a CHA leader, they're even cheaper now, and I haven't played a CHA leader in a while
Sumeria - Decent UU, and the UB is good with an ORG leader for even cheaper fast courthouses.
Babylon - not very impactful UU or UB, although the extra health from the Garden will be good if the game goes on very long, but I doubt it will
Ottoman - somewhat more impactful UU and UB, although for the UB I'd want an EXP leader for the hammer bonus and I'm currently playing a game with an EXP leader.
On to leader. Traits I've not played with recently, or didn't get to play with them enough, are SPI, CHA, IND, FIN, PHI, AGG, and PRO.
If I get Zulu I'd want an AGG leader, If Egypt then CHA, if Sumeria then ORG, if Babylon then PRO, if Ottoman then EXP
So for the Zulu my options are, in order of preference, excluding traits I'm already playing a game with/played with recently:
Toku (PRO) - PRO is pretty good now, I'd like to give it a try as well
Monty (SPI) - Again, just want to try out SPI
Boadicea (CHA) - Want to give CHA a chance too
Stalin (IND) - I never really got a chance to see it shine in that recent game (can't remember the number right now), and want to give the cheap forges + lots of wonders another shot
Alexander (PHI) - too finicky
Ragnar (FIN) - boring
For Egypt:
Boadicea (CHA) - Rush combo, I've not done an early rush much, why not give it a shot?
Churchill (PRO) - Same reasoning as Toku for Zulu
Brennus (SPI) - Definitely leans into a religious focus, which isn't my forte really, but Egypt has a UU monument so...
Hannibul (FIN) - I don't know how much coastline there is, but FIN/CHA in CtH seems like a good combo for lots of water, lots of pop to work lots of 3 commerce coast tiles.
Lincoln (PHI) - Again, not a fan of PHI at all, so not likely
If I don't get to pick either of Zulu or Egypt then I'll make some lists for the other civs

Hmmm, PRO isn't as good as I thought it was, without the granary bonus, however, this is a test game so seeing how good or bad PRO is could be useful to Charriu, so I think I'll still go with Toku if he's available.

OK, and we're off.
Password is
Theme is the Sharpe novel series, so my cap is called Rifles, after the first book, Sharpe's Rifles. Second city will be Eagle, and so on.

I know that 68% isn't a sure shot, but to lose flawlessly? This game...
At this rate I'm going to lose that city to that barb warrior. If Triumph survives I'm whipping that archer, I don't even care anymore, but I am not losing any more units to barbs.
