The amazing thing is that my first night on broadband, I spent about 40 mins playing Descent and about 9 hours shooting the breeze with old friends and acquaintances. (I can chat faster! Yay!

Can you believe they managed to bring fiber optics to my county, finally?

I envy you; we enjoyed broadband for several years until we moved to the suburbs, exchanging access to ADSL technology with access to forests and fresh air. And while I don't regret our decision, I still miss all-the-time access to the net. Well, our mayor is organizing a petition to the telco about the subject at the moment, so there's still hope...

I'm still on dial-up, though had broadband at college.

Been playing Descent I, II or 3 Sirian?

Don't forget download days ---> hours. Which is happening to me right now as I download another 200 meg file through dial-up.

I tried D3 first, but PXO is gone. So I ended up playing some D2.

Sad. Diablo 2 lags pretty badly even on cable. My cousin wanted me to play with him, and I mean, I KNOW that D2 lags even in SINGLE PLAYER, but somehow my brain was living in denial or something, and I thought D2's Lying Display Screens would somehow have rehabilitated themselves. :rolleyes:

What was I thinking???
