Finally my goal: I don't expect to win as I'm not that good of a player and there are some really good ones here. So all I want to do is last long enough and play well enough to have a very strong effect on who does win the game. In other words I want to have an effect on the game's outcome deliberately (ie. not just dying and giving somebody a lot of cities).

I'm gonna say this was accomplished. I think this game it's been basically Ruff and I who made things shift and happen (maybe just my skewed perspective) and in the end setup the current situation.

Darrell: Bit confusing of play with his 'friends with everyone' style. Think he's confusing others with it. Think he's confusing himself as well with all the deals he's signing with conflicting terms.
