Are you saying you're still under NDA despite the game having been released ages ago?

I pretty much can't say anything about what went on during beta/behind scenes ever.

Well ok, maybe if the party I signed NDA with stops existing or something I can say things. I'm just treating it as "never" for simplicity.

So we can assume that the beta test was some kind of catastrophe?

That's okay. Best to wash your hands of the past and play more of the past-past.

TheMeInTeam Wrote:I think a big thing to keep in perspective here is target audience. What are the most typical listeners interested in? I don't think anybody knows that when it comes to the "civilization" niche...but the odds of being able to teach someone at say your ability something new through the strategy section is fairly low.

The odds of being able to teach someone at skill levels lower than your ability, though, is pretty good, which is why I listen to PolyCast. I've learned a lot listening to the strategy discussions, being that I'm not a great Civ player. I don't have the time to play nearly as many games as I used to so if I'm going to advance my skill level, getting a boost from folks who know more than I do is very helpful to me. I don't know if players like me are the target audience or not (I'm an MP noob and haven't tried Monarch yet in SP), but I do get a lot out of the show, at least in the strategy sections. I find all the Civ 5 discussions distracting, though, as they interfere with me learning more about Civ 4. I've given up on 5.
