[PLAYERS STAY OUT!] Lurker Thread - PB5 Starts A Day Late & Dollar Short

Nahh Krill has already said he's building for war after golden age. Just a matter of if he kills Nazul first, or kicks Pingo off the continent. (obviously hoping for the latter)

Yeah, that was a ton of food in the capital. Shame I never really leveraged it properly.

I dug myself a hole with some poor tactics against Commodore, and couldn't balance my econ properly with the need for lots of military (Commodore's mobility, especially Impis, really threw me off, and caused me to overbuild military even more). Nor was Lincoln the right leader to have against a belligerent Toku of Zulu: neither Phi nor Cha really help in producing hammers, and I needed all the hammers I could get.

No more MP Civ games for me; my heart isn't in 'em any more, and clearly I get crushed if I'm not playing at least my B+ game.

I knew it! Man, what a "what if" that would have been...if I'd managed to take the GLH...and if Cyneheard hadn't gifted the copper...

It does indeed look like you can see the map.

Sad to see you aren't feeling energetic about future MP games Cyneheard. I admit I was a bit surprised by you losing that war, although Commodore is pretty much the most accomplished person here at grinding out even-tech victories. But here's hoping you can come back reenergized in the future!

They're being huge doofuses, but we shouldn't tell them this. Be careful with future posts.

I think this game actually just exists as a giant nightmare for scooter/dazed. They're taking a test, I mean trying to win a civ game, but they have no clothes, I mean luxuries, and every other player is helping out the big bad guy who's winning the game. And they try to talk to tell people this but no words are coming out, and their enemies can just multiply infinitely because for some reason tech brokering has been enabled the whole time. And everyone's laughing at them because their homeland is a shitty 1/4 of an island that looks like a dying moose-snake.

This made my day. Hilarious.

I think this was referring to my late-night snark post after I got burned on luxury cancelation? Apparently it wasn't clear, I wasn't really angry at all. I just had fun with it. I don't remember this game ever really making me angry, I had a ton of fun all the way through.
