Drasca reports that Stormbluff Isles is now full, and has resorted to using Anvil Rock. This surprises me, because I was under the impression that Anvil Rock was one of the popular ones. Apparently, many of the American worlds are full at this point. Meanwhile, Regina Buenaobra put up a possibly related news post on Facebook. In case anyone missed it:

Ensuring the best possible play experience for our fans is our highest priority. We’ve said before that we would be willing to temporarily disable first-party digital sales if we felt our high player concurrency may compromise player experiences. We have now reached that point.

Effective immediately we have disabled sales via buy.guildwars2.com. To be clear, box and digital sales are still available via our retail partners. We are tracking our concurrency closely while expanding our infrastructure. We’ll re-enable first-party digital sales as soon as we feel that we can do so safely. ~RB2

As for Drasca's arrival (he's had to slip this in around military commitments), he Xyn and I blasted around Caledon Forest for a while, in what I'd say has been my most fun experience in Guild Wars 2 this week. The world split is not really a big deal for PvE, although we tend to get split up when we enter one of the main town instances. Personally I'd like to just sit in an overflow instance with guildies than have to click away a popup every once in a while when the queue boils down, but it's still "early days" so we'll see what ArenaNet has up their sleeves to tackle this sort of "argh factor".

Speaking of the guild, I've vaguely simulated the old emblem, although the options are very limited, so for the moment the Realms Beyond emblem in Guild Wars 2 is a pale gold dragon on a white shield. That's about the closest I could do without a messy result... and we've seen plenty of those over the years. The ability to display it is pending.

long time lurker on these Forums , loved the monthly Civ4 adventures/epics
, and played with some of you in Hellgate London , and some D3 lately .

I picked up GW2 , and would like to be part of the community .
I am more of a laid back player , playing when work / kids/ life responsibilities allow .
