I think the future of GalCiv has been answered - there isn't much of one for team level participation.
What I have found is something about the game isn't getting my attention - I can't figure out what. My play time has dropped to almost zero, and am I not sure why. Part of it is solo gaming doesn't do as much for me. Comments like below aren't helping either. I was already getting a limited scope feeling...
I have figured out the âformulaâ to beat it at maso level and there isnât really anything more do. I would defiantly be into a succession game if one got setup though, particularly if it had some interesting rule or maps setups.

Alas, the fixes are not coming in the near term. I have played and submitted about a half a dozen games (played some more for testing) and have found that the AI is not improved. Stardock has not been very open to mucking with the GalCiv 1 AI, even for the expansion. They have repeatedly stated that major AI changes will not happen until GalCiv2.
This is exact opposite of why Civ3 has keep going. The early game had abuses such as selling cities to Civs, fast units never die attacking, etc. Many other abuses were removed. The AI got improvements such as culture flipping AI cities has gotten much harder.
How many games add new difficulty levels (demigod and Sid) among other things during development of expansions?

Well anytime a person whom I can't seem to catch up on skill level with makes a statement like this, of course I am curious.
Well it seems weird to ask this question in the GalCiv forums, but what version of MOO? I think there is 2 and 3, yet you seem to be referring to the original? Maybe you can point a link to something in the MOO thread to continue this conversation.
