I expected the large surge of wandering barbs toward my first cities... what surprised me was how long the surge continued! It was like the tsunami videos, they just kept coming long after you'd expect the tide to ebb.

No, I did not get the Great Lighthouse, I did not try to get it and I don't think it hurt me at all.

Yes, the barbs were coming in many waves. But since it was mostly archers with only some axes and swords, they were not really dangerous, especially when both longbowmen reached CG3 promotion.
