Monitor tech help

My computer monitor broke. I'm using my TV as a replacement (since I don't watch TV and it works).
Is there any reason why this shouldn't be done?

Nope, I use a TV as standard, have been for over a year.

Do make sure to switch off tv-specific post-processing, this can be on by default and cause the screen area to be clipped and the picture re-sharpened to a painful level.

Yeah, TVs and monitors are pretty much the same thing nowadays. TVs have integrated speakers and more inputs such as antenna, but that's about the only difference. Do turn off all the picture-processing junk so you get a clean computer image.

The main issue these days is depending on the TV size the dot pitch will range from almost-monitor-like to terrible. That matters much more for text though, and if it's not bothering you than there shouldn't be any issue.
