Top 10 list of things that can end a Survivor run

#1 - PUG
Ugo Phurst Indomitable Survivor, solo'd all the way (the ONLY WAY to go), decided to go back to Dasha and cap Angelic Bond since the cut scene prevented capping when he did it the first time. I was in International district and feeling sorry for the 2 guys unable to find a group, so I joined. Everything went fine til the end when one guy decided he really should go to bed soon. We had 2 bosses aggro'd and we were handling it just fine. That's when one of them thought he can hurry it up and grab the Searing Flame boss too.

I sat at the comp in silence for a few minutes in disbelieve, can't believe what a stupid thing I have done - PuG with a Survivor, WTH[Image: huh.gif][Image: rant.gif][Image: huh.gif][Image: rant.gif]

#2 -Bloodlust
I guess I could have avoided the death if I play Survivor for the title only, aka, exit game thru various means as soon as something goes wrong. I don't.

Playing back the scenerio in my head, I guess maybe, just maybe I could have survived if I ran as soon as I see the other guy went for the Ele boss. But by then the Der boss just went down and the Para boss was on its last few breaths. I had to finish the job - That's when all at a sudden 3 of the party went kissing the ground and I was the prime target. Too late to run.

#3 - Lag
Kind of realated to Bloodlust - you just keep on going when you know you should stop. Cat On The Ninth Survivor (1) died to video lag farming the Deparated Measures (Farming exp by killing the huge mobs but not finishing the last boss) for the fifth time.

#4 - Heroes/Hench Control
Iam Sodead Survivor (1) planted the flag to recall the group aggroing the wrong mob, fine. Sodead then proceeded to call the target for the next mob and went charging, and only realized too late when no one is coming to help. Crippled, poisoned and hexed to death. Duh! Forgot to release the flag[Image: mad.gif]

... More to come, I am sure.

Warblade the Silent died in the Maguuma Jungle. He had been successfully roving the Southern Shiverpeaks capping elites and I decided there was a useful skill reward quest way out west that he should have. Walking down a log I aggroed some Jungle Trolls, but before contact the world just froze. Lag spike. So, I grumble, I exit, I log back in, I type /deaths and I stare in disbelief. What, did 50 Super Jungle Trolls leap out of the trees at once and gank the poor assassin in two seconds flat??? Booooooo!

#6 - Those bloody UW Wintermas missions. Available to all, if you're a Paragon you've got practically no chance of surviving your first (or indeed fifth) run, and deaths count as real deaths.

They never mentioned that in the brochure.

Harvest Warblade finally got nailed. I don't think I didn't anything drastically wrong, but Varesh got in a couple of big hits with a spear and that was that. tongue Just shy of 700,000XP Harvest Warblade's Survivor title track stops on "Indomitable Survivor." Well at least it was a worthy opponent, so I'm not annoyed with the death this time like I have been in the past.

He was just dabbling at Surviving anyway. tongue Ki Te Mutunga, my designated Legendary Survivor attempt is still very much alive and kicking... for now.

Spear? Spear? Not Scythe? Uh. Shields up? Stand your ground? That should've taken care of Varesh's damage output all together.

How do you designate a character to be Legendary survivor? ;p
What's Ki's status anyway?

I am going to start a new survivor but can't make up my mind which class. Seems Necro is the only class I haven't got too advanced (now that I have all primaries covered on my main account. Okay, beside Rit and Ass. But I don't like Factions much)

Shields Up. Dunno if that was running or not. Stand Your Ground was from Morgahn, but I had to move to draw back from a developing problem when Varesh retreated back to some of her groupies and they joined in.

You designate a survivor in the same way you did with Cat on the Ninth or Ugo Phurst. Assign a goal, pick a name and... proceed without dying. Harvest Warblade was just about the scythe and I hadn't intended for him to survive to the end of that title track, but he just kept going and going anyway.

Heh. Everyone does that. lol "Ki" is "To" in "To the end."

Indomitable Survivor, somewhere between 700,000XP and 800,000XP

The game didn't like it when I made an Assassin survivor and threw a lag spike at him before he became Indomitable. Ritualist should be easy, but they're also deceptive. 3 or 5 second cast times for those spirits occasionally leaves your character in places where he/she wouldn't want to be and a lot can happen in 5 seconds.
