Yes, I have been reading the forum.
I came home from work one day to find a thread that appeared to be quite lengthy and containing a heated debate that may or may not be the basis for this thread here. Unfortunately that too was probably a premature discussion and ignored a few things: Namely, the opinions of two other guilds.
I don't know how everyone else feels, but the rough plan that occurs to me is
1.) Form the alliance under agreed upon name.
2.) Identify guild communication structure and build on it to form an alliance communication structure that works for most parties.
3.) Hammer out any constitutional considerations:
3. a. How to vote/make alliance decisions.
3. b. Agree on code of conduct or rough guideline or no rules/guidelines governing the use of alliance chat.
While all of these can happen concurrently (and that's not necessarily a definitive list either) I'm a bit puzzled by how quickly some of us are pushing past the "how do we communicate" issue. We know where [RB] is at, [Arch] looks very similar to us and I personally don't have a clue if [Fail] actively uses a forum or not.
Long story short: All that internal heated debate in the "Alliance Admissions" thread was futile when we haven't even worked out how the other guilds want to communicate, contribute or make alliance decisions.
