I feel as if this should be related to the following...:
Commodore Wrote:Xenu would totally wreck the vets if somehow we could open a rift in spacetime. More violence, please.
If only.
Xenu - Insane, Violent? Are these my forum traits, Commodore?
Ceiliazul Wrote:Regarding Slowcheetah's extensive diplo, I see some general global correlations:- Spoiler thead posts ~ player skill
- spoiler thread posts ~ diplo quantity
- diplo quantity ~ good relations
Summary: good players tend to post more, and tend to chat a lot leading to good relations... further reinforcing the pattern of frst/second place alliances as noted in other games. Obvious exception: Mackoti. Any others?
1. FALSE - I won the post count among the greens!
2. I'll give this a half truth. I put a lot of effort into diplomacy but didn't get anywhere with it at a critical stage of the game
3. TRUE - I was on good terms with Slowwalk and never really considered going after them, as they seemed to be good long term allies.

I don't think I've been called a pocket full of sunshine by anyone who has ever met me in meat space. And probably like Lewwyn, only
slightly less angry, though in fairness you posted this before I played PB7 drunk a few times and let Seven get under my skin.
Sian Wrote:argeed ... on a Torodial map with lots of islands Org is probably in the top 3 simply due to many cities needing Lighthouses and Maintainence being a severe pain in the backside leading you to wanting to priotise Courthouses
Agreed.
Sian Wrote:Other than that ... I believe the game also proved that while Expansive is strong, its not strong enough to carry Protective through ... Fin/Pro might be able to pull though, but Exp/pro are just a wee bit to weak ... or also Babylon was a bit to weak a pick as well (although i doubt the problems was there)
Yeah, it was cute that we could build PRO bowmen, but I don't
think it kept anyone from invading. Maybe the closest was Dazed since we did have that one incident early on, but even then I think he was more interested in pushing IMP than in fighting a war. But I'm not done reading his thread yet, so I could be wrong. In general it felt a lot like I played this game with one trait, just EXP. But it's possible that the PRO benefit was there all along, only hidden; no one wanted to fight us because they knew it would be expensive to do so. Then again, normally you don't pick a fight with the guy in last place until you're ready to eat them
GG guys. I'll look forward to reading the vets game when I get a chance, and to finishing Dazed's and Kitties' threads. I've finished Kuro's and Sian's so far!
