[SPOILERS] Plako's Great Leap Forward

T12

It is game over. That warrior will kill me. It was very lucky to get out of the fog right this turn when my warrior was collecting the hut. Since my warrior couldn't get in position to defend without double moving ,I just continued forward. Now seeing how close Egypt borders are I would need to rush him to have any chance, but my means for that are very weak. Warrior one might have best potential. At least he won't get a city or much land so he is not gonna get much advantages. I should have switched to Mining in case he leaves me alone, but that probably won't happen.

I've trying to analyze what went wrong and I don't think I would have played this much different in any scenario and I think most of us would have fallen to same trap. Standing your warrior inside the city just isn't an option, when there is a hut to be collected.

What makes me sad is that, if I wouldn't be so eager to play the turn and acted after Ceiliazul, I would been totally alright. Also I would have been alright, if he would have appeared any turn during the past 5T. If I would have started moving towards east in the beginning, our positions would probably have been reversed.

So this leads to sore loser suggestion for next similar game. We should have 20T enforced peace to avoid these situations in future games. Almost everyone takes these risks currently so this basically this boils down to wo gets most lucky and that shouldn't be deciding factor in these early fights.

Sorry for the way it ended for you, that really sucks. Any idea how you would've played out this start given your knowledge of the surroundings now with Egypt being so close and all that?

Ouch, that does suck plako. Somebody needs to give you friendlier neighbors in your next pitboss.

I guess I would have tried declaring war and moving my warrior back - looks like you would have had a 50/50 shot at his, or were the turns lined up so that he would have gotten by?

Pindicator that would have definately been only right call. Just didn't cross my mind back then.

Not sure. Start wouldn't have been easy. I planned to build Oracle, but not sure I would have managed it with Ceiliazul so close.
