Thanks. It's really too bad that their use is in trying to survive a mini-dogpile rather than smashing some heads and winning, but it's still fun to use them. Sure I could be using Horse Archers for defense like my neighbors have been mixing in, but I'm spending 30h to get a Str5 2-mover while they are spending 50h for a Str6 unit, and my unit is better at killing axes than theirs. So for every 3 HAs they get, I get 5 WCs. So it's a pretty effective defense here when using en masse. Plus, when I do beat the odds, I get multiple promotions and all that. I also used a Great General for a military production thing in my capital so I'm really churning them out. I also teched Monarchy so that I could more or less whip infinitely by swapping into HR so that's really come in handy and allowed me to up my level of WC production.

Anyways, I'm tempted to keep churning them and get to around 25-30 of them and go and end this thing by punishing a neighbor and maybe even taking some land. I cannot win at all - I basically can't tech right now - but I have a window before I'm TOTALLY obsolete where I can still put a hurt on someone with a massive stack of WCs.

If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.

Whoops, no sorry. Playing PB5 (Normal) and PBEM36/PBEM39 (Quick) at the same time has been messing with my mind. It's actually 20 (WC) and 33 (HA). But the point is the same.

Yeah, settled it. Whatever the bonus was for doing the one thing I could do with a great general other attaching him. Don't remember what the effects are, I just clicked the button and passed the save on. lol
