GW2: Servers

The current favored server is Stormbluff, as none of the known mega-large guilds/alliances are converging on it.

Is this still the favored server? I just read over on GuildWar2Guru about why it is important to chose the same home world as the guild.

I'll be starting up on the pre-release date and would love to get in on RB action. Played a number of the Civ instances and have faithfully followed the action on other RB forums.

I've been monitoring this thread from the Amazon Basin's forum and it does look like it's still Stormbluff. Still, I'll scan it (and here) just a few hours before launch just to confirm.

Well it seems that the Stormbluff Isles server community is more organized than I thought. As you can see from the link, there's already a number of guilds registered there signifying their intent to make that there home server (Realms Beyond is not represented there yet though). I'm not sure how many players a server can hold but the list of guilds makes me think that this'll be one crowded server on Aug 25th. Going through the list of guilds, it seems a lot of the old top ranked PvP guilds will be present there (ex. The Last Pride and War Machine).

So AB is more or less set to go there. Are we?

P.S. Our old alliance guild ZoS is heading to Northern Shiverpeaks (naturally).
