Dropbox Ending Support for Public Links

I just recently went back to Dropbox after a failed experiment with OneDrive as an image hosting platform. Mine don't appear to be expiring. Yet.

What are the options? Builld your own server and manage it (good luck for idiots like me) or pay someone else for the image hosting either with money or personal data...

We (RB) can rent extra server space, or sign up for one of those photo hosting sites.

Both would incur extra cost. A ball park figure would be $15-30 US extra per month. I do not want to carry more debts at this stage. I was actually thinking of asking the community to GoFundMe (or such) this sites expenses. The current cost of our server rental is around $40 US per month. It is a small amount if funded by the community, even if we sign on for extra image hosting.

Pros and cons - I have not checked the latest status so this is just IIRC

Sever Space
- Seems it would cause more, and more as we use it, unless there is some "real" unlimited space deal.
- Easy to manage because it would be on the same server?
- Are image files being deleted as it gets full?

Google Drive, One Drive, etc.,
Probably turns out to be as expensive as renting extra server space. I have not found an easy way to embed from them yet. Anyone?

Photo Hosting Sites
Example: I am using such a site in my PHOTOGRAPHY thread
- Many sites offer unlimited space for $10-15. Most reasonable pricing
- Graphical Interface
- Each user can have and manage their own folders - with some "user only" limitations 
- Each users need to be manually assigned a folder (not a big deal after the initial rush); unless they all use one communal folder (not recommended).

I suppose the downside to imgur is they may eventually change policy as well?

But yes agree with a go fund me for the regular site, you shouldn't have to bare that expense alone. That reminds me I need to donate to Zulan as well (he does steam giftcards).
