No. If you want to use a combat flesh golem, it doesn't matter who creates it. Because it's a permanent summon though if you're using it in combat it counts as part of your 6-unit limit, so the archmage who creates the golem should probably do so from within your territory.

Jeez...couldn't you have revealed more of the map at the beginning? I've never started a game and been greeted by a 3x3 visible area before. Heh.
So for the Silver Star, the starting adventurer cannot kill any units? Since it can't upgrade to any units in the list, I don't think.

The Adventurer may be able to participate in Silver Star attacks, depending on what you do with him. "Indirect" damage is allowed, so if he's a spell caster he can help out. And Adventurers can also upgrade to the recon line, which will make him eligible to participate directly in attacks.
He'd become a rat man if I upgraded him to a scout? He looks pretty...human at the start.
![]() Also, I'm surprised you didn't name the starting hunter Pikachu. ![]()

It took me a moment to work through the logic of that one, but, once I did, that makes sense. "All city attack moves must be made by pokemon," and "Only 6 units and the adventurer can be out attacking at a time," should interact like that. He's not a pokemon then, after all. NobleHelium Wrote:Also, I'm surprised you didn't name the starting hunter Pikachu. I've fixed that in my game. ![]() NobleHelium Wrote:Jeez...couldn't you have revealed more of the map at the beginning? I've never started a game and been greeted by a 3x3 visible area before. Heh. Apologies for double-posting, but it didn't occur to me to actually *check* the logic later... Actually, doesn't the Silver Star only forbid the Adventurer from killing units inside enemy cities? It was said on page 1: Bobchillingworth Wrote:If it's a temporary summon, it won't count toward the 6-member team limit. So if you really want a team of the Adventurer + 6 spectre-summoning mages, that's acceptable. If you want the Silver Star though the mages won't be able to attack cities on their own. So, temporary summons count as "indirect damage", and, conveniently, all the summons are on the monster list, so they can attack cities... and if it's not in a city, it doesn't matter anyway.
Haha, would you believe me if I said that I never intended the rules to be so complicated?
![]() To further clarify the Silver Star rules: If you have the Adventurer upgraded into a unit from the "catch em' all" list (ie: recon), then he can participate directly in city attacks. This will not violate the Chrome star 6-unit party limit, as he is explicitly exempt from it. Otherwise, he can contribute via spells or summons, but cannot directly join in on an attack. If the Adventurer is using temporary summons, they can attack cities, and as noted previously this will not violate the Chrome Star party limits. If you are not bothering with the Silver Star you can do whatever you want with the Adventurer. Hopefully that clears things up some. If sticking with the Silver / Chrome Star rules is driving you mad, please forget about them and just enjoy the Adventure however you want. I only added them to have a little more (entirely optional) fidelity to the Pokemon series for fun, and to add some (hopefully) fairly substantial challenge for players who have felt that the Adventures so far have been too easy. The STARS are not mandatory, and you will probably not be any less of a man / woman if you don't earn them. Well except for the Bronze Star :neenernee
Of course, this might all be moot for me anyway because I haven't built enough units compared to the enormous stacks the bored AIs want to throw at me now.
![]() I only get to report on the first time I play, I'm betting... (You will all be allowed to laugh at my mistakes when I post my report in a month or so.)
Play as many games as you want, and report all their results. I don't care.
But only the first game can count for scoring. You should keep further details of your game to yourself until reporting day to avoid spoilers. Your post is fine, but the less said about how a player's game is going, the better ![]() |
