Also, I didn't realize suttree offered you peace. Um. Wow dude that's some crazy logic not to take it.

For the record, I definitely haven't seen any 'jerk moves' from suttree at all.

Yeah. I have not been thinking straight. Now that I have become aware of this, I am flat out sorry about it all. As stated, I would like lurker feedback as to what I can/should do now.

Until then, I will take the turn and keep the game going.

You should keep playing and learning. There's nothing to be gained from you quitting the game. Just make sure to work a bit more with Ceil.

Also want to mention that you are not playing single player against AIs. Everyone is trying to win and will act accordingly. Also they are people with different personalities, play-styles and tactics. By labeling your opponents by color you are depersonalizing them. You aren't viewing them as human players but as AIs. This puts you at a disadvantage. Understanding your opponent is critical.

Are you sure the worker was captured and the chariot deleted? Suttree said something about your workers might be automated. Do you automate your workers?

Oh and FYI the hammer exchange on the chariot for worker is good. He loses 30H but you lose 60H. I'd take that every time.

That was a very good post. Thank you for that. That's what I wanted - an explanation. I think we're all very glad that post was made. I will criticize you no further (well I'll probably still criticize your play, that's generally what I do) now that you've provided it.

Anyway, I'd say that you should keep playing and afterwards (whenever you exit this game) you can apologize in the tech thread and say that the explanation for your actions is in your thread and can be read by the other players after the game.

And yeah, I don't think you should refer to your opponents as colors.

Ok, so first off is peace accepted by BGN (no screenshot), but not by Suttree. Retep has asked for peace after capturing the city of Standing, gifting 20 gold which was accepted. Oxy offered Copper and Crab for 80 gold, also accepted. May be hairy deals accepted here but there is not much power left to contest this. Oxy may cease the deal next turn but unlikely, if the copper can keep the building of spear/axe to make more resistance against Suttree.

Then the reason for Suttree not accepting peace is clear. The southern army is destroyed.

The army pillaging the mine south of DZ has retreated(4 axe, 2 spear), with 3 Horse archers 1 tile below holy city(which has 1 spear) and likely more on the way after cleaning up the southern army. There is one spear on the hill/mine east with a chariot 2 tiles east of that again, and I have only chariots in DZ. I have sent a 10 turn Peace proposal without any demands or gifts to Suttree.

The stack moved away from BGN is intended to be split. It's 5 axe and 4 spear. Sending 2 axe and 2 spear to DZ(where an axe is ready next turn) will make the amount of army equal in both cities.

The galley is at the moment somewhat worthless, since I now am without a single coastal city. I am sending it north to explore.

Checking the stats, it is not surprising how these numbers look right now.

I may be able to reach the goal Ceil mentioned - Outlive Azza!

I will definitely work more with Ceil, provided he still wishes to be of assistance.

I have reversed that color scheme already, going by the login name now.

I have not automated my workers, but I have queued their actions. It could be that the way I set my workers to moving at the time was not the best action that they could do, building too many roads for instance. Unfortunately, I have no screencap to back up my claim, but worker vanished and chariot vanished. It may have been moved into the fog of war, but that does not explain the worker vanishing. I am certain I did not delete it myself.

Viewed in the hammer perspective I would likely do the same myself, it being an accepted tactic.

I'm sure your worker was captured and deleted and the chariot was likely deleted too. That probably happens at least three times per game.

Queuing workers is a terrible idea. Queuing most anything is generally a bad idea.

I welcome comments on my play and questions that can make me consider things differently, since that is a way for me to get a view of how I can improve. After all, You wrote the question that made me think in a way that made me able to learn from this instead of ragequitting and not learning from it. Thank you.

Keep playing, apologize when exiting game, make explanation available afterwards. I can do that.
