West looks good to me. Grabs more tiles and I don't see a reason to more when the resources are already in your borders. You trade a grassland farm for a hill, but you grab more river tiles with the western plant anyways.

We'll see who was right when Mist moves 10 Axemen right next to Darrell's flatland city.
That said, we are going to be the ones on the attack, so hopefully my fretting will have been for naught.
In the meantime, I've played both Darrell's and my T28 save:
I moved the scout only one tile, because as you can see, the Khazad capital is founded on the plains hill (you know, the one Darrell was supposed to found on ![smile smile](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/smile2.gif) ). If Mist roaded his Silk tile, he could easily have one of his Aggresive Warrior take out the Scout (who is damaged already).
My turn:
Exciting!
Drumroll...
Strong and Mobility 1!
This Warrior took out a Skeleton while defending during the interturn, which means I can promote it to C1.
That Barrow of Plenty has produced another Skeleton, which makes for some nice target practise for my lovely Mutant.
I don't think we showed an overview map in a while:
Note the distict lack of happy resources for your's truly, and Darrell swimming in them.
Which is why we will soon complete the Erebus Interstate Project (EIP):
Just one more road section to go, and Darrell can supply me with his happy resources, which is why I grew my capital into unhappiness. Trade connection should happen within 3 turns.

Incidently, did you take his second promotion? That must have been some lucky Wolf otherwise.
Played T30.
Darrell, I thought you said you'd move the mutant boy (will rename him next turn) in the jungle?
That Skeleton moved on the said jungle, which means I had to take a 75% shot, or fuck up my Worker plan.
Took the shot, and won, but the Warrior is now heavily damaged, and up for another promotion.
Darrell will finish the Erebus Interstate Project next turn, netting us some extra commerce.
I'm sure Darrell won't forget to supply me with a happy resource, right?

It was the jungle to the south, you didn't like the SE one cause you wanted to attack on flatland. All you had to do was wait, because you have Mobility, that skeleton would have been flat next turn.

Then I guess I misunderstood, because of that Skeleton, I couldn't move my Worker to road the Wheat tile, forcing my hand.

You know, I should have realized that ![smoke smoke](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/smoke.gif) . At least it ended well ![wink wink](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/wink2.gif) .

Played both Darrell's and my turn 31.
We got trade connection this turn, and benefit from the extra commerce next turn.
My cap after getting Silk from Darrell:
I'm going to keep that Training Yard a turn from completion, at least until I've got about 20 Warriors to upgrade into Axemen. I'm actually wondering if I shouldn't take care of the Adept builds, because Darrell will need quite some more turns before he can build a sizeable force of Catapults. Or, if we have the time/money, we could research OO, convert, turn Neutral, research Trade, and be able to rushbuy after switching to Undercouncil. We'll see.
I'll probably finish a Market after the Settler (likely a 1-turn build thanks to a chop). That'll be the point for me to dial down research to around 80%, to benefit from the new improved Financial trait...

A city with a training yard can still build warriors can't it? You get +1 happy under nationhood.
