The immediate question that leapt to mind was: what happened to team F? lol

I'm guessing "Team G" is your euphemism for Team Germany?
If you know what I mean.

We don't have to mention the war imo. We can just say: why is the timer adjusting itself and why is every single turn taking the full duration?

Another extension of the game timer by at least 13hours. This is getting ridiculous.

Ruff, you have not posted over at CFC yet.
Please do so today.

"The turn timer seems to extend itself in random ways by sometimes up to 13 hours. Team RB feels this is not acceptable especially since one team repeatedly does not end their turn. Can someone from the mod-programmers please explain and fix the problem?"

Seriously, let's NOT end turn next turn. I want to see what happens.

I'm baffled by all the complaints about the timer extending. I mean yeah, it sucks, but we knew it would happen when we started the game. Right? You are all aware of the rules of the game you're playing in, yes? We are playing with this mod that even prevents logins if the team that declared war on you hasn't ended turn. And we agreed on a stupidly long turn timer. The German team doesn't get less time for their turn than all the other teams just because WPC declared war on them. They still get the full 40+ hours or whatever it is, but counting from when they can first log in, i.e. when WPC ends their turn.

If we complain about game timer we will just look dumb. The problem here is the German team (and maybe others) not ending turn when they're done. No one should need 40+ hours for their turn except in emergencies.

No, actually I had no idea what was supposed to happen until you just posted that. lol

So why does the timer only extend when everyone else has ended turn, and not immediately after WPC has ended turn?

It's showing us the timer that applies to almost everyone in the game, including us. Only Germans get their timer extended. It switches to showing the German timer once our timer is already up.

Imagine if it just showed the Germans' timer for everyone. Then either it will have to wait 13 hours extra for EVERYONE to end turn (and then other teams get more time than the warring teams, which is unfair); or we can run into this situation: 50 hours have elapsed since the turn roll but WPC just ended turn so the timer still says 40 hours. We haven't finished our turn yet since hey, we have 40h left. But then suddenly the German team ends turn* and suddenly everyone remaining has had their full turn length, so the turn rolls. That would be a pretty misleading interface, right? Instead, it shows the lower of the two potential turn roll times, because it's way worse to be wrong in the other direction.

* Sorry for the highly contrived example.

Ah yes, that makes sense. We don't get the benefit of the extended timer this way.

I think the trouble here is that in war we don't get a split timer but a doubled timer, but most people here had assumed a split timer. But this was never properly made clear in the rules discussion.

Why wasn't this caught in the test game?

But most important is that the teams needs to end their turns.
Furthermore, I consider that forum views should be fluid in width

Ok, I did not know the exact rules then. I was under the impression the turn timer gets split into two halves and the mod enforces the not-login rule only.
As Azza posted in the other thread, we might be looking at 96hours turn. Yay! And we agreed to that knowing this would happen?
