It's the same thing terrainwise but not distance-to-Boldlywise.

Dazed settled his equivalent of a city of mine located 2W1S of Mama.
In turn 41 news, Zakalwe finished Stonehenge in his capital. He is also the founder of Hinduism. From the culture graph it looks like Boldly was the one who founded Buddhism a few turns ago, so maybe he's headed for the Oracle then. If we could land the GLH that would be awesome, but I'm not twisting my empire around landing it (just yet). Although I did finish Sailing this turn and will probably build lighthouses in both Byte and Papa. And I'll probably revolt to slavery on turn 42.
I have to run.

Haven't revolted to slavery and haven't started any lighthouses. Zakalwe completed a great one - nice play by him. Stonehenge + Religion + GLH + ORG, he's set up nicely for limitless expansion.
I have to run.

Did a bit of C&D, situation report:
Us: Cities size 6, 5, 3, 3 and 3. 40% of world population.
Dazed: Cities size 5, 3, 3 and 2.
Boldly: Cities size 5, 3 and 1. Buddhism.
Zakalwe: Cities size 4, 2 and 2. Hinduism, Stonehenge, Great Lighthouse.
I have to think Zak is missing Pottery since he's got Mysticism, Polytheism and Masonry that I lack.
I have to run.

It's ok, I guess, I still have a big lead in MFG and Food, but I can't really use that for much at the moment - what I'm wondering is how I'm going to improve my economy. Maybe killing off these scouting units will help.
That's 6 chariots and 8 phalanxes on those tiles. They're really just there to try and slow Zak down a bit, I have hammers to throw away and he's a big favourite to win from this position.
Not doing C&D, not doing micro plans, and the macro button seems to be broken. This was probably the game where I should have just gotten Monarchy, Cre or no Cre. Maybe I'll settle an island city for ivory and a city on top of the gems.
I have to run.

Well, you could keep the city. It's a pretty good city.
Your economy looks pretty effed though, yeah. Looks like you fell for the classic IMP trap too.

Well, I actually decided to keep the city. It wasn't as expensive as I'd thought, it costs 5.5gpt at size 1 and will cost 7gpt at size 4. OTOH it makes 4 commerce per turn at size 1, from tile yields and trade routes. Except now that I think about it it's actually just 3gpt since Zak's fish wasn't coastal like mine.
Anyway, the idea is that having this salient into Zak's territory will force him to keep investing in military and it just gives him a lot less backline.
Zak produced a spear in the city on the interturn, so the city was defended by two warriors, two axes and a spear. I took it losing two phalanxes and a chariot, can't complain about that.
Zak's copper is defended by a single spear, and the accompanying city is empty.
I have to run.

Dun dun dun! If nothing else you should be able to settle the west facing ivory spot now and get another pop in each of your cities.
