Turn 19
So yeah, we've been missing turns because when dtay says that he can play anytime that he's awake, he actually means that he doesn't know when he'll be able to play.
I'm planning to go NW-NE-NW next.
Seven grew to 2.

Turn 20
I realized that we can do some scouting with the warrior, so the scouting plan has changed some.
Scout will go NW next which will reveal a bunch of tiles because there's floating ice (i.e. water) 2N of it. The warrior will defog the tiles in between by moving onto the plains hill and then head back to the spot for the new city. There aren't any barbs but it's nice to have a unit in the area to avoid getting blocked by a scout or something.
Land points for Ichabod and dtay. We are first to size 3, unsurprisingly.

Looks still good. I should be back in business tomorrow Noble. Had a dentist appointment today which has gone better - at least up to now, I'm still feeling pain from time to time - than expected. If nothing unexpected happens I should be available to discuss the further moves after city 2 with you. I think the micro is pretty set up to T40 IIRC?

You reminded me that I hadn't reported the turn I played earlier. The micro is set to about t32 or so when the settler completes. Everything after that is malleable.
Found some stuff that isn't luxuries. Not sure where to go next with the scout but I'm leaning towards west onto the hill.
Land points. Ichabod and yuris grew to size 2.

Ugh, why did Ichabod put himself before yuris in the turn order??

Found some bananas. Unfortunately our populace does not get happier adding them to their diet.
Moving the scout to the hill was a good decision, as now we can see that little cape is a dead end. So the scout will head southwest next while the warrior will move a little further to defog the other small piece of land sticking into the water northeast. We'll see whether it's a peninsula or a land bridge, but further exploration of possible seafood there will have to wait.

Really slow. There are a couple unreported turns though, I'll get to them tonight.

So yeah, there's been a few turns. We've explored a lot more land to the west, with a lot of food but no luxuries whatsoever. Such is the randomness of Torusland, clearly Brick didn't pay enough attention or didn't care. Anyway, it does look like we might possibly have a sizable backline area to the west if we can cut it off by expanding south.
As you can see, Ichabod's scout found us from the north. We should be his first contact because he put 4 EP into us.
Seven grew to 2. That is not a tech, confirmed via top 5 cities.
Second ring land points for Ichabod and dtay. A land tile is worth 2000/1137 ~= 1.76 points. 21 points for Ichabod works out to exactly 12 tiles, which is the maximum second ring amount. dtay however gained 23 points, which is more than the maximum, so he must have gotten 6 points for a tech and 10-11 land tiles for 17 points. Total power went up 8k so either dtay teched BW or he teched Wheel and two people built warriors. But dtay hasn't gotten a tech since his t10 so that must be BW.
Land points for Seven and me, and Ichabod grew to 3.
TECHS SO FAR
(I'm tracking this mostly because I suspect we'll need to go for religion.)
yuris: Mining t13
SevenSpirits: Animal Husbandry t10, Mining t16
dtay: Animal Husbandry t10, Bronze Working t23
Ichabod: Animal Husbandry t11, Mining t17

Not much going on these last few turns. Still exploring stuff and not finding luxuries. We can go southwest or southeast next turn, I'm inclined to go southeast to maybe find a luxury within fourth-city reach. If there's nothing again we'll go deep and try to find opponents.
We finished Mining this turn. The definitive part of the micro plan runs out in 4 turns when the settler completes, after that there is just a tentative continuation to get another city settled to the east.
yuris gets land points.
yuris gets Bronze Working and Seven grows to 4.
Ichabod grows to 4.
