Before my time, but I'm 90% sure the Orc-Archmage For the Horde trick no longer works in EitB.

Bans - This is the biggest thing we need to settle, in the lead but contended is Keelyn, next is Clan (Bob says allowed), finally Tasunke also wants to ban Illians

I personally wonder if we can just nerf Clan by banning their World Spell and Rantine.

  • The Clan don't need a nerf; some people seem to be wildly overestimating their power level. I'm fine with banning them though if that will keep things simpler.
  • Last days looks to be 3-2 in favor of OFF, with HK abstaining. Most of the other "contested" settings have decisive majorities as well.
  • I don't think some of you understand what Blessings of Amatheon does. It increases the number of resources generated but also skews the resource distributions due to a programming quirk. Bob will be altering this anyway, so it doesn't even actually matter.

omniscience for tower is ok with me
wildlands is ok with me
Keelyn ban is ok witb me, but I note that Insane Perpentach can get Summoner randomly
Ban clan worldspell. Rantine is ok (barb cities aren't that hard to conquer).
Don't ban Illians.

To be clear, I don't actually care either way, but your tally showed only one firm vote to ban the Clan vs. three opposed and two somewhere in the middle.

This. I'll apply the setting (I don't intend to hand-draw this map, unless I am suddenly struck with a bolt of supreme inspiration), but I'm going to nerf any nonsense like 7-gem patches the generator spits out, unless you all have no desire for a reasonably balanced game.
