Not seen, the über Nozdormu! You can see by my gold total that I really need a good run. And..... it's in portuguese... Sorry about that, but I think most of the cards are recognizeable by the picture and similarity to english words. Any doubt, just ask.
I'm definitely calling Faerie Dragon Dragoleta from now on.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?
If only Nozdormu's effect could stack in same way by copying it.
5 second turns!

Talking with Bruce in-game today, he mentioned there might be a few improvements (other than, "don't play meta from months ago") to my hunter rush deck. Keep in mind my goal is to win casual games and do so quickly so I can farm quest gold. The deck as currently constructed:
2x Tracking 2x Abusive Sergeant 2x Leper Gnome (current practice is to mulligan whole hand if no Leper Gnome drawn to start) 2x Timber Wolf 2x Explosive Trap Misdirection 2x Bluegill Warrior Ironbeak Owl 2x Loot Hoarder 2x Starving Buzzard 2x Eaglehold Bow (my first rare craft!) 2x Animal Compansion 2x Kill Command 2x Unleash the Hounds 2x Arcane Golem 2x Wolfrider Anything look off based on my goals? The deck as currently constructed: Looks reasonable, though you definitely want 2 Hunter's Mark in there - that's going to help you through taunts more than Owl and it combos well with Explosive Trap. Probably would take out owl and MD for Mark. 2 Arcane Golems seem a bit much as well. 1 as a finisher since I assume you don't have Leeroy is reasonable but 2 seems like a lot since the meta is so control based right now. So maybe keep the Owl and drop the second golem. I've not played a ton of hunter so I'm more basing it off watching streams and the hunters I've played against.

I know that kind of hunter (all face, all the time) fell out of favor with the legend rank players even before the UtH nerf. Compare with "cycle hunter". The obvious good cards you're missing are Hunter's Mark (as Gaspar said) and Stonetusk Boar which looks crappy but synergizes with everything in the deck. Hunters mark lets you win against big taunts when you draw a ton of cards with buzzard since its free. Boar synergizes with everything - an extra hound basically or just something to trigger a final Kill Command with and charge to hit for 6.

The bow loses some value if you're not running at least 3 traps imo but it probably doesn't matter that much. You can always lose the Loot Hoarders since they're just cycling cards. So maybe -2xLoot Hoarders -1xArcane Golem +2xMarks +1xBoar? And maybe you can also drop the owl for another boar.
A month into the game (and pretty much no stream watching), still short of a 12-win arena. Inched a bit closer with this surprising deck, though:
Not shown — 1 sea giant In a typical fashion, after I drafted the perfect early-mid-game, with 2 polymorphs and 2 water eles, the draft stopped offering me any late-game cards. I originally went 2-2 and thought this list was going to justly sink like a stone, but then it randomly managed an eight-win streak. Of course, every time was neck in neck, as I had to give up on board control in the knowledge that I will JUST be able to pyroblast/hero power my way into a victory before dying. Even managed to do so against a summoning-portal warlock. Eventually ran into a very aggro mage, and he outpaced me by a turn or two. This really needed a fireball (never offered) or another flamestrike (was offered, but early on in the draft and right after boulderfist, so I picked Worgen over it). |
