I have found furs and sugar...but the best thing? I'm going to cut Cyneheard off from both of "his" sources (already got the Sugar all to myself )
4 happy res...gold, sugar, incense and furs. Could be better, but I can deal with it. Cyneheard probably can't with only the 1 res.

He only gets one of those four? Sounds like he'd get gold and incense, from what you said.

I'll have the incense sealed away as well he only gets gold and religion, with no chance of popping precious metals (we modded it out of the game)

Turns out that revolting to Bureacracy and lsing 12 ep was not that wise, I think? I chose to tech Calendar instead, to get the banana and sugar hoooked sooner, as I didn't need the extra irrigation, and hence found research times.

You mean he lost 12 EP from a turn of anarchy? How is that significant?
How goes the landgrab?

Losing the ep isn't that important tbh, but revolting to Bureaucracy is. It is a very situational trait - in my case, the upfront cost is 1 turn of anarchy, and 20 gpt (yes, that is 20 gpt for a single civic at High upkeep). In exchange I get +50% commerce in a single city (and around a straight up 5 hpt due to few hammer tiles being worked).
So, to equal the cost of the civic, I have to be making a minimum of 40 gpt, if I don't value the hammers (and tbh, I don't, so let's consider it as an extra 5 gpt by building wealth). But by revolting for a single turn, I'd lose around 50 gold, 7 beakers, 140 hammers, and around 160 food, I need to regain these losses for the revolt to be worthwhile.
Now, my absolute best city makes around 50 commerce a turn, I can't see Cyneheards' making more than 60 cpt, and he has a smaller empire with lower costs, but a much higher rate of gold production because of it. So let's value the net benefit to his civ at around 20gpt. That would take him a handful (negligible amount) of turns to become positive on the gold, but he is still behind on the crop yield and MFG. However, this is for a well developed cottage city, and there are other options for the Palace, which I chose to follow
The other option is moving the palace to a central location, thus decreasing maintenance costs, and increasing gold generation that way. This costs a mere 160 hammers, which you can chop...this benefits the larger empire more, which is why I chose this route. And you are going to move your Palace anyway to a central location at some point inthe game, so might as well do it now.
TBH, not like it is a massive strategic mistake like the lack of expansion that Cyneheard did to his south...
