Savage Tide : In Character

OOC: Are there torches on board? Did Himo see nothing at all in terms of lookouts or other people on board as we approached?

OOC: @Mardoc; turns are somewhat simplified ... you all say what you do, but if someone with higher initiative roll downed someone, you fire at something that fall before you get there tongue @Bacchus, good point

Going from the moving torches, you'd guess theres two guys walking around on deck

BTW:

if you want to get up, roll Climb Checks

Initiative : 1d20+2 → [7,2] = (9)

Anders motions, pointing to himself, then up at the side of the ship. Grabbing onto a rope, he begins to climb.

Move silently while climbing: 1d20+1 → [20,1] = (21)
Climb check, accelerated climbing (-5) to move 1/2 my speed instead of 1/4: 1d20+1 → [16,1] = (17). Pretty sure the DC was 5 so that should have worked.

So I should move 15 feet, 10 feet up then 5 feet to get into the ship.

Hoisting himself up onto the boat, Anders looks around

Still have a standard action, just need to know what I see first

OOC: Our-turn-their-turn is workable early on (ie now), but will start to break down once we get initiative-mechanic altering abilities (White Raven Tactics, I'm looking at you).

@Dtay

I'd like a Hide check while we're at it to see if you're not spotted ...

Holden nods nervously and begins climbing up one of the other ropes. He doesn't say anything, but feels the adrenaline pumping in his body. He climbs up the rope and over the rail.

Climb: 1d20-2=10
Hide: 1d20-6=7

Initiative: 15 +4 = 19

In the other boat to Anders, Kaisa judges herself the most likely to be unnoticed getting onto the ship. Indicating to Holden and Aliandra to follow, she starts up the ropes hanging down the side of the ship, at a more standard climbing pace than what Anders is attempting.

Climb: 8 +1 = 9
Move Silently: 9 +8 = 17
Hide: 19 +8 = 27

OOC: We're technically in a city, right? An urban environment? That's totally a further +2 initiative from Child of the Shadow tongue

Anders motions over the side of the ship for everyone else to follow, then draws his bow.

Standard action was drawing the bow

Staying in reserve. That's a military tactic, right? Moshka considered herself to be less than useless on the frontlines and, more importantly, had no desire to get hit.

Init: 1d20+6 → [9,6] = (15)

Can I make out line of sight on the thugs when they are on the upper decks?

At Kaisa's gesture Aliandra follows up the ropes.

Climb, Hide, and Move Silently:

1d20+2=6, 1d20+2=9, 1d20+2=6

Oops, and Initiative:

1d20+2=4
